NEW DELHI: The Maruti Suzuki Invicto's Zeta+ grade is offered in seven-seat and eight-seat configurations on NEXA's current product page. For a family comparing the layouts, the passenger count should be settled before the equipment grade. The same Zeta+ name appears against both choices, so the seating suffix belongs on the order as well as the shortlist.
| Official listing or feature | What it establishes |
|---|---|
| Zeta+ 7-seater | Seven-seat Zeta+ configuration |
| Zeta+ 8-seater | Eight-seat Zeta+ configuration |
| Second-row captain seats | Shown in the official interior presentation |
| Powertrain | 2.0-litre strong hybrid with e-CVT |
| Alpha+ highlights | Panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate and 360-view camera |
Decide how the extra place will be used
Write down a normal week's passenger combinations. Include the driver when counting seats, then distinguish the school run from a holiday with relatives. A family that needs the extra place every day has a different seating problem from one that only wants room for an occasional visitor. A single maximum-capacity number hides that distinction.
Use the existing Invicto price guide for the financial comparison. For this inspection, ask to see the actual seating configuration under consideration. An equipment demonstration in a differently arranged Invicto is useful for learning controls, but cannot settle how your passengers will share the cabin.
NEXA's interior presentation highlights second-row captain seats, and Maruti's launch description also identifies folding side tables for those seats. Try the chair and its surroundings as a passenger would use them: sitting normally, reaching personal belongings and preparing to get out. These are more useful observations than simply describing the upholstery as premium.
Inspect the cabin with the intended occupants
Bring the people who are likely to sit in the middle and rear rows, if practical. Set the front seats for the regular driver and front passenger first. Then arrange the remaining occupants without repeatedly moving the front seats to make a photograph look generous. Record whether everyone can find an acceptable position at the same time.
Ask for a stationary demonstration of the seating adjustments and access route to the rear. Have the likely rear passengers repeat the process themselves. The relevant question is whether they can use the cabin comfortably on an ordinary day, with the people and belongings that usually travel together, rather than whether someone can squeeze in once.
Check where a walking aid, school bag or travel bag would go after passengers are seated. Leave the actual luggage-space conclusion until you have inspected the intended vehicle. Counting available places is only the beginning of a useful family-car assessment; it does not establish that a particular collection of suitcases will also fit.
Equipment is a separate choice
The current official page highlights a panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate and 360-view camera under Alpha+. Treat those as equipment questions after deciding the seating requirement. Ask for a written feature list for the complete version you intend to order, rather than carrying assumptions from the most expensive display vehicle into a different quotation.
Air-conditioning deserves time during this exercise. NEXA describes rear AC in its Invicto presentation, while the official interior material shows automatic climate control. Ask for the relevant controls to be demonstrated with passengers sitting where they expect to travel. Reach, airflow preference and ease of adjustment are practical questions each family can assess directly.
Understand the hybrid without losing the seating focus
The official page identifies a strong-hybrid system with a 2.0-litre engine and e-CVT. It also describes an energy-flow monitor that displays the power source being used. Ask the demonstrator to explain that display separately from the cabin inspection, so a technology presentation does not consume the time meant for testing the seating layout.
Families looking across Maruti's people movers can consult the Ertiga and XL6 guide. For a wider SUV reference, the Grand Vitara price guide covers another part of the range. Keep your passenger worksheet alongside those comparisons: it gives the model names a concrete purpose.
