How the Invicto compares with other Maruti models

The Invicto costs far more than Maruti's other seven-seaters. Our Ertiga and XL6 price report puts the XL6 range at Rs 11,62,300 to Rs 14,67,500, so the cheapest Invicto is Rs 10,34,900 above the dearest XL6.

The nearest strong hybrid in the Maruti range is the Grand Vitara. Its top strong hybrid version, the Alpha Plus (O), costs Rs 19,62,000 on the same price list, which is Rs 5,40,400 below the Zeta Plus 7S. Our Grand Vitara price report has every version.

Invicto against the Grand Vitara strong hybrid

The Grand Vitara strong hybrid versions on Nexa's own price list give a direct yardstick. Each Invicto version costs more than every one of them, as the table shows.

Grand Vitara strong hybridEx-showroom DelhiCheapest Invicto minus this price
Delta PlusRs 16,68,300Rs 8,34,100
Zeta PlusRs 17,96,600Rs 7,05,800
Zeta Plus (O)Rs 18,55,300Rs 6,47,100
Alpha PlusRs 19,55,200Rs 5,47,200
Alpha Plus (O)Rs 19,62,000Rs 5,40,400

The Zeta Plus 7S costs Rs 8,34,100 more than the cheapest Grand Vitara strong hybrid and Rs 5,40,400 more than the dearest. The extra money buys a larger vehicle with up to eight seats, though Nexa's list does not show a like-for-like feature comparison between the two.

Spread across seats, the Zeta Plus 7S works out to about Rs 3,57,486 for each seat and the Zeta Plus 8S to about Rs 3,17,162, so the 8-seat version is the cheaper one for each seat that you can use. The Alpha Plus 7S works out to about Rs 4,10,071 a seat.

What to check before you book

Ask the Nexa dealer which of the three versions is in stock and what the delivery date is. Ask for a written on-road quote with insurance, registration and any extended warranty itemised. The claimed mileage of 22.16 km/l is a test figure, and real-world fuel use depends on traffic and load.

The versions and prices are listed on Nexa's official Invicto price page.
