NEW DELHI: Mahindra's Jeeto L6 specification section lists fuel economy of 34.62 km/l, marked with an asterisk. Treat that as the manufacturer's mileage claim when planning a route trial, rather than a guaranteed result for every consignment. The same page identifies the L6 as a diesel cargo vehicle with a 600 kg payload and a DI water-cooled engine.
| Jeeto L6 item | Official product-page listing |
|---|---|
| Fuel economy claim | 34.62 km/l* |
| Fuel tank | 10.5 litres |
| Engine description | DI water-cooled |
| Payload | 600 kg |
| Wheelbase | 2,375 mm |
| Cargo box figure | 1,846 mm |
Keep the mileage claim attached to its model
Begin by writing down Jeeto L6 Diesel as the vehicle being discussed. Do not shorten the description to Jeeto in a comparison sheet that also includes other fuel versions. Ask the seller to identify the exact vehicle proposed for a demonstration, along with the document supporting the mileage claim, before comparing it with another quotation.
The L6 page supplies a precise economy figure, but its specification section is not a complete report of the test procedure behind it. Ask for the applicable qualification and test conditions. Do not relabel the number as a measured result on your own route, and do not remove the asterisk when passing the claim to someone else in the business.
There is also a reason to read beyond a search result or an image label. The page's written specification and benefits text use the figure in the table above, while one carousel image's descriptive metadata refers to a different mileage value. This guide uses the written specification, without treating the mismatch as proof of a mechanical change or a new launch.
Give the demonstration a useful job
For an owner delivering to a market or a row of shops, an empty drive around the dealership answers only part of the question. Ask whether a representative route demonstration can be arranged within the vehicle's permitted loading instructions. Describe the goods, packaging and usual stopping pattern beforehand, so that everyone knows what the exercise is meant to establish.
The point is to observe a working routine, not to stage a race against the catalogue. Include the journey from parking to the first pickup, the delivery rounds and the return. Keep a note of queues and waiting as well as movement. If a demonstration covers only part of that routine, mark the missing part instead of presenting it as a complete working day.
Our Mahindra BE 6 price list: Rs 19.45 lakh to Rs 26.95 lakh, XEV 9e from Rs 21.90 lakh concerns another fuel choice in the family. The Mahindra Bolero Neo price: Rs 9.06 lakh to Rs 10.85 lakh for five diesel variants also separates petrol and CNG versions. Those descriptions are useful comparison references, but neither supplies a substitute mileage figure for the L6 diesel being evaluated here.
Build a record that can be checked
Ask the dealer or service team for an appropriate method of measuring fuel use during a trial. Record the starting and ending odometer readings and retain the relevant fuel receipts. Note who drove and what was carried. Without a consistent measurement method, an apparently precise consumption result can be harder to interpret than a modest but properly documented observation.
Keep the consignment within the applicable instructions and avoid assuming that the stated cargo-box length proves a particular package will fit. Check the actual body and packaging separately. The L6's payload and its box measurement describe different constraints; neither tells a reader how many of their own crates should be loaded without further information.
If the first observation differs from the published claim, record the circumstances before drawing a conclusion. Ask the authorised workshop whether an inspection or clarification is appropriate. A single journey is evidence of that journey, not an explanation of every difference between a manufacturer's figure and a business's operating experience.
Owners comparing a different style of goods carrier can read our Mahindra Bolero price: Rs 8,56,999 to Rs 9,98,999 for B4, B6, B6 (O) and B8 alongside their route notes. Keep fuel economy, carrying requirements and the completed vehicle description in separate columns. That makes it easier to see which question an official figure answers and which question still needs a demonstration or written clarification.
