NEW DELHI: The Audi A4 starts at Rs 46,88,000 and the Audi A6 at Rs 64,81,000 on the company's Indian price portal. The A4 offers the lower entry price, with three listed trims against two for the A6. Both sets of prices are attached to model year 2025 listings. Price as of 26 October 2026, 23:25 IST.
| MY2025 sedan and variant | Ex-showroom price | Displacement | Power |
|---|---|---|---|
| A4 Premium | Rs 46,88,000 | 1,984 cc | 150 kW |
| A4 Premium Plus C7R | Rs 51,84,999 | 1,984 cc | 150 kW |
| A4 Technology C7R | Rs 55,83,000 | 1,984 cc | 150 kW |
| A6 Premium Plus | Rs 64,81,000 | 1,984 cc | 195 kW |
| A6 Technology | Rs 71,66,000 | 1,984 cc | 195 kW |
A clear separation between the price bands
The A4 Technology C7R, the most expensive A4 entry in this official selector, is still below the A6 Premium Plus. The ranges therefore do not overlap on these published figures. Choosing the upper A4 trim and moving into the A6 are distinct steps, rather than alternatives sitting at the same list price.
Audi uses the C7R suffix for the A4 Premium Plus and Technology entries. It is retained in the table because it forms part of the exact variant description on the configurator. The selector does not explain the suffix, so it should not be expanded into an assumed equipment package or treated as proof of a different engine.
There is also a naming trap at the entry level. The A4 range begins with Premium, while the A6 begins with Premium Plus. A comparison based only on the word Premium could obscure that distinction. Likewise, Technology is a trim label within each family, not evidence that both cars carry identical features.
Same displacement, different output
The official variant cards give every A4 and A6 listed here a displacement of 1,984 cc. Their power figures differ, however: the A4 entries show 150 kW, whereas the A6 entries show 195 kW. Engine capacity alone therefore does not describe the performance distinction between these particular sedans.
For the A4, Audi's model page identifies a 2.0-litre TFSI engine paired with a seven-speed S tronic transmission. It quotes a manufacturer acceleration figure of 7.1 seconds from rest to 100 km/h. That is a published specification, not a result from a road test conducted for this article.
Within each model family, the power and displacement fields remain the same across the listed trims. Paying more for an A4 Technology C7R does not produce a higher stated power figure than an A4 Premium. The same observation applies to the A6 Premium Plus and Technology pair. Equipment needs a separate comparison.
Different presentation inside and outside
Audi's A6 overview highlights an MMI touch display, Matrix LED headlights and driver-assistance technology. These are useful pointers to the model's focus, but the overview does not assign every highlighted feature to each priced variant. The table consequently avoids presenting a feature as standard on Premium Plus merely because it appears on the general A6 page.
The A4 page puts more emphasis on its exterior treatment: a wide Singleframe grille, pronounced air inlets, a chrome strip linking the rear lamps and trapezoid exhaust outlets. These are identifiable styling details. They do not, by themselves, establish how cabin space, seat comfort or refinement compares with the A6 in everyday use.
Personalisation also differs in the selectors opened for the Technology versions. The A4 lists Mythos Black, Navarra Blue, Glacier White, Progressive Red and Manhattan Gray metallic finishes. The A6 lists Mythos Black, Glacier White, Firmament Blue, Manhattan Gray and Chronos Gray metallic finishes. The available palettes are therefore not identical despite sharing several names.
Those colour lists are configuration choices, not a statement of local inventory. Neither selector, at the stage used for this comparison, establishes which paint is available immediately or whether an individual selection changes a final quotation. No paint surcharge or delivery promise has been added to the published variant prices.
What these figures leave open
The model-year label remains MY2025 even when the page is checked in 2026. Audi's price-reckoner notice also excludes TCS from ex-showroom prices. These figures provide a defined comparison of listed cars; they do not establish a complete on-road bill or the manufacturing details of a particular vehicle.
