NEW DELHI: Honda City's published price schedule runs from Rs 11,99,900 for the SV petrol manual to Rs 20,99,900 for the ZX+ e:HEV strong hybrid, ex-showroom Delhi. The petrol automatic range begins with the V CVT at Rs 14,29,900. The table includes every engine and transmission combination in Honda's official schedule.

Price as of 26 October 2026, 23:25 IST. The full schedule above is published in Honda's model announcement dated 22 May 2026; the current Honda India site also displays the same entry price. Honda states that pearl exterior colours attract an additional charge. That unspecified paint charge is not included here.

One body style, different ways of delivering power

The price range covers both the petrol City and the e:HEV. Treating the top price as simply a more generously equipped petrol automatic would miss the main difference. The e:HEV uses a strong-hybrid powertrain, while the regular petrol car offers a choice between a manual gearbox and a conventional CVT.

Honda lists a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine with 121 PS and 145 Nm. It is available with a six-speed manual or a CVT with a paddle-shift function. The SV is the entry manual grade, and the automatic choices start with V. There is no SV CVT entry in the published table.

The e:HEV uses Honda's self-charging, two-motor hybrid arrangement with an e-CVT. Its published combined output is 126 PS, with maximum torque of 253 Nm. Honda describes automatic switching between electric, hybrid and engine drive modes. The hybrid is listed only in the ZX+ grade.

How to read the efficiency figures

Honda quotes 17.77 km/l for the petrol manual, 17.97 km/l for the petrol CVT and 27.26 km/l for the e:HEV. These certified figures describe different powertrains under a test procedure. They do not establish the consumption a driver will see in traffic, with the air conditioner running or on a loaded highway journey.

The hybrid's place in the range is therefore a separate technical comparison, rather than an equipment step alone. The price table shows its position clearly, but it cannot by itself settle running costs. Annual distance, route and actual fuel use would all be needed for a meaningful ownership-cost calculation.

The updated City changes its appearance and cabin

The current model page shows a front lighting treatment with a grille-spanning centre light bar, revised rear lamps, alloy-wheel styling and a boot-lip spoiler. Honda's grade table makes a useful distinction: the centre light bar is listed on ZX and ZX+, while the basic LED headlamp system appears across the grades.

That is why exterior photographs should be read alongside the equipment table. A publicity image of the e:HEV or a higher grade can show details absent from the entry car. The price of the photographed specification and the starting price do not necessarily refer to the same vehicle.

Honda's model announcement describes a larger touchscreen, wireless smartphone connectivity, ventilated front seats and a surround-view camera within the updated range. These are model-range highlights rather than a claim that every feature is standard on SV. The grade specification remains the reference for equipment on an individual version.

Driver assistance and hybrid warranty

The City range includes Honda SENSING driver assistance, covering functions such as collision mitigation, lane keeping and road-departure mitigation. Honda specifically associates the adaptive cruise control low-speed-follow function with the e:HEV in its announcement. The hybrid designation therefore matters when comparing the assistance features as well as the engine.

Honda states a standard warranty of three years with unlimited kilometres. The e:HEV's lithium-ion battery has separate cover for eight years or 1,60,000 km, whichever comes first, and hybrid-system components have five-year or 1,00,000 km cover, whichever comes first. Those component warranties should not be read as extensions of every part of the car.
