NEW DELHI: The Audi Q5 starts at Rs 65,55,000, while the Audi Q7 starts at Rs 87,16,999 on Audi India's official price portal. Both entries are labelled model year 2025. The Q5 is the lower-priced SUV in this comparison, while the Q7 brings seating for more passengers and a larger engine. Price as of 26 October 2026, 23:25 IST.

What the price ladder actually compares
Audi's public configurators list Premium Plus and Technology versions for each SUV. The figures above retain the exact rupee amounts displayed, including the final rupee in the Q5 Technology and Q7 Premium Plus prices. Rounding those figures into lakh labels would make the table easier to scan but less precise.
The Q5 Technology remains below the Q7 Premium Plus on the official list. That separates two different decisions: moving to a higher trim within the Q5 range, or moving into the Q7 model family. The shared trim names do not establish identical equipment across the two vehicles, so they should not be read as interchangeable packages.
The model-year labels also matter. These are the MY2025 vehicles identified by the price portal, even though the price check was made in October 2026. The listings do not establish a manufacturing month, a delivery date or the specification of an individual car. None of those details can be inferred simply from the displayed price.
The Q5 keeps the focus on five seats
Audi describes the Q5 cabin as accommodating five people. Its official model page highlights quattro all-wheel drive and Audi drive select, which lets the driver alter the vehicle's characteristics through different modes. That gives this comparison a useful starting point: all-wheel drive is already part of the Q5's model description, rather than something introduced only by moving to the Q7.
The Q5's listed engine displacement and power are unchanged between Premium Plus and Technology. On the figures Audi publishes, the higher trim is therefore not a step up in engine output. Any explanation of the additional trim cost needs to come from its equipment specification, rather than an assumption that the Technology badge brings a stronger engine.
For everyday use, Audi highlights an electrically operated tailgate and a high seating position. Its website warns that equipment and accessories can vary with the version supplied in India. A photograph of a well-equipped demonstration car is consequently not a complete statement of what either listed trim includes.
The Q7 changes passenger and luggage flexibility
The Q7 product page describes room for up to seven people, using a third seating row. It also quotes luggage space of up to 1,908 litres when the second and third rows are folded. That is a maximum load-carrying configuration, not luggage space available while every passenger seat is occupied.
Audi lists quattro all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension among the Q7's driving features. Its official configurator gives both trims the same 2,995 cc displacement and 250 kW power figure. As with the Q5, the price step between Premium Plus and Technology should not be mistaken for an engine-output upgrade.
The practical distinction is therefore broader than the badge on the tailgate. The Q7 adds a different seating arrangement and a different chassis specification, while the Q5 concentrates on a five-person cabin. Whether those differences matter depends on how the cabin is used, not just which model appears higher in the range.
Reading the Indian price correctly
Audi's India price-reckoner page says ex-showroom prices exclude TCS. The table is therefore not a final on-road quotation. It also makes no claim about retailer discounts or availability. Keeping the official list price separate from a transaction quotation avoids presenting an advertised starting figure as the complete amount payable.
