NEW DELHI: The ROG Zephyrus G16 (2026) starts at Rs 4,29,990 on ASUS's official India page, below the ROG Zephyrus Duo (2026) at Rs 5,69,990. The Rs 1,40,000 gap separates two different approaches to a premium gaming laptop: the G16 has a conventional OLED display, while the Duo builds its working layout around two full-size OLED touchscreens.

Price as of 4 November 2026, 00:09 IST. ASUS labels these amounts as starting prices. They are family entry figures, rather than a complete price schedule for every listed SKU. The configuration code remains necessary when matching a quotation to the graphics, memory and storage installed.

Two screens change the way the Duo is used

The Duo's main distinction is how it arranges applications. ASUS describes Dual Screen, Laptop, Sharing, Book and Tent modes, using a magnetic keyboard and different physical positions. The G16 follows the familiar laptop layout. These are meaningful differences for someone whose work regularly moves between an active application and reference material.

Consider a game developer working from a shared table: reference material, code and an application preview can compete for the same screen. The Duo's extra panel creates another place to keep information visible without bringing a separate monitor. That is a workspace argument, rather than evidence that a game itself runs faster. It also depends on whether the table and the software layout accommodate the open machine.

The G16 takes a different route with its 240Hz OLED panel. The Duo's panels offer higher resolution but a 120Hz refresh rate. A second display does not combine those refresh rates into a faster gaming panel. Each screen's specification needs to be read on its own, particularly when an application occupies just one display.

The GPU headline does not identify the entry configuration

ASUS's Duo overview advertises graphics up to an RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. Its India specification sheet lists GX651AR-SR074WS with an RTX 5070 Ti and GX651AX-SR099WS with an RTX 5090. The family starting price should not be described as the price of the highest graphics option without a separate SKU price.

The G16 India specification sheet lists RTX 5070 Ti configurations. Its broader overview discusses graphics up to an RTX 5080. That is another reason to keep the regional configuration sheet beside the marketing overview. The model-family name alone does not settle which GPU is in a particular Indian listing.

Our Laptop and tablet price guide applies the same configuration-by-configuration approach to a different gaming family. For another ASUS pairing, the ASUS TUF Gaming 16 launch: Rs 1,79,990 starting price explained covers separate machines.

Memory needs to be settled at purchase

Both Zephyrus specification sheets describe onboard memory with no expansion slot. The Duo lists separate memory configurations, while the G16 sheet lists 32GB. This makes the initial RAM choice different from choosing an SSD that can later be replaced. The full SKU and installed capacity belong on the invoice.

The detailed India sheets also list PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, although the Duo overview promotes PCIe 5.0 storage. This article follows the India configuration sheets for that distinction. Neither a family-level maximum nor a feature banner should silently replace the specification attached to the actual machine.

Portability is part of the price comparison

The listed weights are 1.95kg for the G16 and 2.82kg for the Duo. Both have 90Wh batteries, but those capacities do not establish equal unplugged running time. For a reader moving between home and a studio, the comparison is therefore about carrying and arranging the workstation as well as the headline cost.
