The separate India models page displays Autobiography at the same figure and identifies petrol and diesel choices. The prices are vehicle list prices, not a personalised on-road quotation. The price document says the amount applicable at delivery governs the transaction.
Read the engine and trim names separately
Autobiography is the equipment grade shared by the entries. On the models page, the engine selector identifies D200 Diesel Mild Hybrid and P250 Petrol. Keep both parts of that identity on any quotation: an equipment badge alone does not identify the fuel type, and an engine code alone does not describe the cabin specification.
This is especially useful when comparing a saved brochure, a configurator screen and an invoice draft. The official price document provides the engine size, trim and model-year label in the same row. Ask for those fields to be carried across clearly, rather than treating every vehicle advertised as a Velar as an identical specification.
What Autobiography includes
The India models page lists 20-inch Style 1089 wheels, Pixel LED headlights, a sliding panoramic roof and Windsor leather with contrast stitching among the included features. It also identifies a suedecloth headliner, front massage seats with driver memory, rear power recline and Meridian 3D Surround Sound.
The seat listing specifies 20-way front adjustment. For a Velar household that shares front-seat driving duties and also carries adults in the rear, that makes a complete seating demonstration more useful than a quick glance at the upholstery. Check the driver's saved position and the rear recline controls as separate functions during the vehicle walkaround.
The standard-features section also lists Electronic Air Suspension, Adaptive Dynamics and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Elsewhere on the India overview, Range Rover describes an Elegant Arrival function that lowers the Velar by 40 mm. Ask for the entry and exit behaviour to be demonstrated where the vehicle is normally parked, particularly if passengers need to judge the step into the cabin.
Make the screen demonstration practical
Pivi Pro is listed with an 11.4-inch touchscreen. The standard list also includes a head-up display, a surround camera, wireless device charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Those are useful items to identify on the actual vehicle rather than infer from a photograph carrying a different model-year caption.
The Velar's equipment list brings its front-seat adjustment, rear-seat comfort and screen functions into the same purchase discussion. A sensible demonstration should therefore include both the person who will drive and the person who expects to sit behind. This is a way to check the listed equipment, not a claim that the specification guarantees a particular passenger's comfort.
For the touch-controlled functions, ask the representative to show the steps for an ordinary journey: setting the cabin conditions, finding the camera view and connecting the phone you use. Make a note of anything that depends on account activation or a subscription, so the delivery checklist does not stop at the visible hardware.
Separate the list price from the final bill
Because both listed engines share the same ex-showroom figure, a difference between their final quotations needs an itemised explanation. Ask for registration, insurance, applicable taxes and selected accessories to be shown separately.
