The model-year labels are part of the comparison

The table preserves the sheet's different model years and trim names. It does not attach Dynamic SE pricing to a newer Discovery Sport edition.

That distinction matters because the current Discovery Sport promotional page highlights a Metropolitan edition, while the linked Indian price document identifies Dynamic SE. A new name appearing in a banner does not establish that it shares the price or equipment of an older named variant. The priced entries and the wider model presentation need to be read separately.

The same discipline applies to the Evoque. Its product page is a guide to the model's design and technology, while the price document identifies the Autobiography versions being compared here. Equipment shown on a general page is not automatically a promise about every individual vehicle carrying the model badge.

Evoque puts cabin technology close to hand

The Evoque page highlights a floating 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen, software updates delivered over the air and wireless smartphone integration through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also describes USB-C connections and wireless charging. These details show the emphasis on reducing cables and consolidating everyday controls around the central display.

For manoeuvring, the page describes a surround-camera system and ClearSight GroundView, intended to help reveal the area around the car and the path beneath its front end. JLR qualifies the GroundView image as not live and links availability to the relevant camera equipment. It is an aid to judging surroundings, rather than permission to stop checking them.

The cabin presentation includes heated and cooled front seats and Meridian surround audio. These are meaningful areas to compare when looking at a particular specification: seat ventilation, the audio installation and the exact camera package affect different parts of daily use. A higher trim name alone does not explain which of those features is included.

Discovery Sport emphasises flexible family use

Land Rover presents Discovery Sport as a compact family SUV with seven-seat capability. That emphasis is different from simply promoting a large display or a striking exterior. The arrangement of seats, access to the rear and the amount of luggage carried with passengers all shape how a family uses the vehicle.

Its model page highlights Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and wireless device charging, along with a Remote App. The app description includes locating the vehicle and receiving alerts or service reminders. Land Rover also says that remote services can involve subscriptions, so a connected feature should not be assumed to remain included indefinitely without checking its terms.

The capability section describes Terrain Response, All Terrain Progress Control and all-wheel drive. It also discusses hill-related assistance. These systems concern how the vehicle responds to changing surfaces and gradients. Their presence in the model presentation does not establish the suitability of an unfamiliar road, nor does it replace the need to understand the selected vehicle's specification.

Land Rover labels several Discovery Sport illustrations as European models and warns that features vary by market and specification. For that reason, this comparison does not transplant the page's overseas performance or towing figures into the Indian Dynamic SE price table. The Indian price and the global feature illustration answer different questions.

What equal petrol and diesel prices do not settle

A matching list price within a model family removes one simple distinction, but it says nothing by itself about fuel use, driving character or operating costs. No fuel-cost saving or ownership-cost forecast is calculated here. Those would require verified consumption assumptions and a clearly defined usage pattern.

JLR's sheet excludes TCS and says the price at delivery applies. Its model pages also qualify equipment availability. The figures are a documented price comparison, not a complete quotation for a configured car.
