NEW DELHI: HMD 110 starts lower at Rs 1,349 than the Nokia 110 Power, listed at Rs 1,699 on HMD's official India website. The Nokia has a larger 1,750mAh battery, against 1,000mAh in the HMD. Both remain basic keypad phones, so the price gap needs to be understood through their actual hardware rather than the shared number in their names.

The battery is the clearest hardware difference

The Nokia 110 Power's name points towards endurance, and its battery capacity supports that emphasis. The HMD 110 has a smaller removable pack. Capacity alone does not establish how long either phone will last with a particular person's calling pattern, but it is a concrete difference between the two listed configurations.

This pairing is especially relevant when a family is replacing an older keypad handset and recognises the number 110. The similar names make it easy to assume that one is simply a differently branded version of the other. The table shows why that shortcut fails: battery capacity and weight differ even though screen size and memory figures match.

Neither model's listed connector is USB Type-C. For a household already using Micro USB cables, that is a practical detail about the equipment these phones require. For someone who expected every current handset to share a smartphone's charging cable, the official specification resolves the question before an avoidable surprise.

Matching screens do not make every feature identical

Both specification sheets describe a QQVGA display and QVGA rear camera. HMD 110's product page also highlights its ceramic-style gradient coating and rigid inner frame. Its specification sheet lists IP52. These are model-specific design and protection details, not evidence that the higher-priced Nokia automatically has every feature of the HMD.

The handsets are close enough in purpose that small physical details may dominate daily use. A familiar keypad, how the phone sits in a pocket and the location of the charging port can matter more to a regular caller than a feature-phone camera. That is an interpretation of the shared basic design, not a claim that either model has been tested for comfort in this report.

Memory cards remain part of the music setup

Both phones support microSD cards up to 32GB, sold separately. HMD's specifications say the Nokia's MP3 player and voice recorder require a card. HMD 110's product footnote also requires a card for certain functions. Internal memory is therefore not the same thing as a ready-to-use personal music library.

A phone being handed to a relative with the promise that their songs are already available needs more than the right model name. There must be a suitable card, supported files and a working playback setup. That practical distinction is also covered in our Nokia 150 camera and music guide.

The shared camera label also sets a limit on this comparison: it establishes the published resolution class, without proving equal image quality. No sample photographs or independent camera tests were used to rank the two devices.

Keep the exact product names on the invoice

Nokia 110 Power's specification sheet identifies it as a 2G device. HMD 110's sheet lists GSM bands. Neither should be confused with a separately named 4G model. The full name on the box, invoice and specification page is the safest way to keep these similar product labels straight.

For context elsewhere in the range, our HMD 101 versus HMD 100 comparison covers another basic-phone pair. The HMD 105 replacement-guarantee guide explains separate support paperwork; its model-specific coverage should not be transferred to either phone here.
