The glass-table qualification matters

HP describes the sensor as suitable for multiple surfaces and specifically mentions marble. The technical footnote nevertheless excludes glass. That is a useful distinction for an Indian home office using a dining table or a glass-topped desk: a broad tracking description should not be read as universal surface compatibility.

The practical issue is the surface immediately under the sensor, rather than the material of the desk frame or the appearance of the room. A glossy-looking tabletop and a glass tracking surface are not necessarily the same thing. The explicit exclusion is more informative than assuming that every smooth surface falls within the marketing claim.

Connections and customisation are separate features

The receiver provides a USB-A connection route, while Bluetooth provides another way to connect to a compatible computer. Having both options gives the mouse a different desk role from a peripheral described only by a receiver connection. It does not mean that every computer port or operating-system configuration is identical.

A shared desk might involve a work laptop and a personal machine. In that arrangement, the relevant feature is the stated device limit and how the computers are connected. It should not be confused with an unlimited device-pairing claim, or with an assumption that application settings automatically become identical on both computers.

HP identifies Accessory Center as the software used to enable configurable functions. This distinction matters on a managed office computer, where installing additional software can be a separate decision from connecting a basic input device. The presence of programmable buttons on the hardware is not proof that every custom function is available without the supporting software.

Our HP Smart Tank 580 vs 585 price: 585 starts lower at Rs 14,999 provides related laptop coverage. The ASUS Vivobook 15 at Rs 52,990: two Core 3 variants compared also underlines why a computer's complete configuration matters when considering its surrounding software and accessories.

Battery life is a rated ceiling

The battery-life entry is qualified as an upper limit. HP's footnote says actual life varies with use and environmental conditions and decreases with time and usage. It would therefore be misleading to turn that rating into a guaranteed replacement date for a particular desk.

The included battery also clarifies the power arrangement. This product is specified around an AA cell, so a rechargeable-mouse workflow should not be assumed from the wireless description alone. A record of the mouse's actual power source is more useful when diagnosing a lost connection than treating every wireless peripheral as if it charges the same way.

Read sensor resolution in context

The maximum tracking-resolution figure describes a sensor setting. It does not establish that the mouse is faster or more comfortable for every person at that setting. Pointer movement also interacts with the computer's settings, the display arrangement and the user's available desk space.

That makes the mouse and screen separate parts of the same setup. Our ASUS Vivobook 16 compatibility explained: the 45 TOPS PC covers display choices independently. For the HP 430 itself, the confirmed proposition is a named, tax-inclusive price, alternative connection methods, configurable controls and a tracking limitation that belongs alongside the headline features.
