NEW DELHI: Maruti Suzuki Tour H1 prices run from Rs 3,99,900 for petrol to Rs 4,81,900 for CNG, according to the company's commercial vehicle page. Both versions use manual transmission. The fuel choice also changes the published seating capacity, a detail that matters to a passenger transport business as much as the purchase price.
| Tour H1 variant | Official ex-showroom price | Published fuel efficiency | Seating, including driver |
|---|---|---|---|
| Petrol MT | Rs 3,99,900 | 24.60 km/l | 5 persons |
| CNG MT | Rs 4,81,900 | 34.03 km/kg | 4 persons |
Price as of 30 October 2026, 23:44 IST. These are ex-showroom figures published on the official page, which says the price prevailing at invoicing applies. Treat them as the vehicle-price component of a quotation, with the final payable amount to be established separately.
The passenger count deserves an early check
The Tour H1's petrol and CNG versions are not interchangeable entries on a fleet spreadsheet. Maruti lists a different total seating capacity for each. An operator planning trips around a full passenger load should check the chosen vehicle's documents before promising that service. Counting the driver within the total is especially important when describing the car to customers.
That distinction gives this small commercial hatchback a particular planning problem. Fuel expenditure is only part of the calculation if the selected configuration also changes which passenger groups it can carry. Write the expected occupancy beside the fuel estimate, then assess whether the proposed work fits that configuration. A lower operating-cost assumption cannot compensate for assigning an unsuitable vehicle to a booking.
What the engine and economy figures establish
Maruti identifies a Next Gen 1.0-litre Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine and publishes separate petrol and CNG efficiency figures. Those figures use different units. A kilometre-per-kilogram CNG claim cannot be compared directly with a kilometre-per-litre petrol claim to calculate a percentage saving in rupees. Local fuel prices and actual consumption are still needed.
For a useful working estimate, keep fuel receipts and the distance travelled on that fuel together. Separate petrol running from CNG running when recording a mixed-fuel day. Otherwise, dividing all the distance by only the gas purchased would make the CNG figure look better than the full fuel bill supports. This is a method for building an operating record, not a promise about Tour H1 earnings.
Safety equipment and the commercial speed limit
The official page lists six airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors and three-point seat belts for all seats. It also specifies an 80 km/h speed-limiting function. These are equipment statements from the manufacturer, not a crash-test rating or an assurance that every journey will be safe.
The speed limiter belongs in the work plan. A proposed schedule should allow realistic journey and turnaround time, rather than assuming the car can recover delays through faster travel. Likewise, a reversing sensor is a reason to understand the warning system during handover, not a substitute for checking the space behind the vehicle.
Who it is for
The petrol Tour H1 merits consideration for a small passenger operation whose occupancy requirements match its published configuration. The CNG version is relevant where an operator can match the smaller seating total with dependable refuelling access. Those are use cases, rather than a claim that either fuel will suit every taxi route or generate a particular return.
Ask for a written quotation that identifies the fuel, transmission and seating configuration clearly. Check the vehicle supplied against it at handover. The Tour H1 name alone is too broad when these practical differences can affect the work the car is assigned. Keep the confirmed occupancy visible in the booking record so the person allocating trips uses the same configuration as the driver.
