NEW DELHI: The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 costs Rs 3,69,900 to Rs 5,44,900 ex-showroom across its eight versions. The cheapest is the Std (O) manual and the most expensive is the VXi+ (O) AGS automatic. These are starting ex-showroom prices from Maruti Suzuki. The on-road price will be higher once registration, road tax and insurance are added, and it differs from state to state. Paint choice can also change the final figure.

Which Alto K10 version to buy

If you want the lowest price with six airbags, the Std (O) at Rs 3,69,900 already has them. Most buyers will find the VXi (O) MT at Rs 4,52,400 the better balance, since it adds more equipment for daily use. City drivers who want an automatic should look at the VXi (O) AGS, and high-mileage users with a CNG station nearby can pick the LXi (O) S-CNG.

Before you book, check the on-road quote line by line. Insurance, registration and any extended warranty or accessory pack can add a noticeable amount on a car at this price. Also confirm the exact version name on the booking form, since the (O) versions are the ones listed on Maruti's price page.

Buyers who can stretch a little more could also look at slightly bigger cars like the Hyundai Exter, which starts at Rs 5,80,600, or electric options such as the Tata Tiago EV. Ask dealers for on-road quotes before you book.
