NEW DELHI: The Maruti Suzuki Baleno costs Rs 5,98,900 to Rs 9,99,000 ex-showroom in India, according to the price list on Maruti's Nexa website. The Sigma manual starts the range and the Alpha (O) AGS tops it. Nexa lists 13 versions across petrol and S-CNG, with manual and AGS automatic gearboxes, and the two Alpha (O) versions bring Level 2 ADAS to the hatchback. Price as of 23 October 2026, 2:00 AM IST, on Nexa's Baleno price page.
These are starting prices for each version. Maruti notes that the price and scheme in force on the day of invoice apply.
Maruti Baleno price list, October 2026
Petrol manual: Sigma Rs 5,98,900, Delta Rs 6,99,900, Zeta Rs 7,99,900, Alpha Rs 9,09,900 and Alpha (O) Rs 9,49,900.
Petrol AGS automatic: Delta AGS Rs 7,49,900, Zeta AGS Rs 8,49,900, Alpha AGS Rs 9,59,900 and Alpha (O) AGS Rs 9,99,000.
S-CNG manual: Delta CNG Rs 7,92,400 and Zeta CNG Rs 8,92,400.
S-CNG with AGS automatic: Delta CNG AGS Rs 8,32,400 and Zeta CNG AGS Rs 9,32,400.
ADAS now under Rs 10 lakh
The biggest change on the list is at the top. Nexa's variant cards show ADAS Level 2, ventilated seats and a wireless charger on the Alpha (O) MT at Rs 9,49,900 and the Alpha (O) AGS at Rs 9,99,000. The Alpha (O) costs Rs 40,000 more than the Alpha manual, which already lists ventilated seats, a wireless charger and a Clarion premium sound system. So the Rs 40,000 step is mainly for the driver assistance package.
Both Alpha (O) versions stay below Rs 10 lakh ex-showroom, which puts Level 2 ADAS within reach of hatchback buyers. Check with the dealer which ADAS functions are included before booking, since the price page lists the package name rather than every feature.
How the price steps work
The AGS automatic costs Rs 50,000 more than the manual on the Delta, Zeta and Alpha, and Rs 49,100 more on the Alpha (O). Switching to S-CNG adds Rs 92,500 on both the Delta and the Zeta. Adding AGS to a CNG Baleno costs a further Rs 40,000.
Nexa lists claimed fuel efficiency of 23.80 km/l for the petrol manual and 24.77 km/l for the AGS. For CNG, it lists 33.61 km/kg for the manual and 34.47 km/kg for the CNG AGS. All versions use the 1197 cc engine.
Features by trim
The Sigma card lists halogen projector headlamps, reverse parking sensors and six airbags. The Delta adds steering-mounted audio controls and electrically folding mirrors. The Zeta trims list tyre pressure monitoring, a wireless charger and the SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, while the Zeta CNG AGS card lists LED projector headlamps. Six airbags appear across the range on Nexa's cards.
The gap between the cheapest and dearest Baleno is Rs 4,00,100, so the version choice matters more than on many rivals. A Delta AGS at Rs 7,49,900 gives an automatic for Rs 1,51,000 over the base car, while the step from Zeta to Alpha manual costs Rs 1,10,000 and mainly adds comfort and audio items.
Which Baleno to buy
The Zeta at Rs 7,99,900 is the point where the Baleno gains most of its comfort features, and it is Rs 1,00,000 above the Delta. Buyers who want the most equipment without ADAS can stop at the Alpha. CNG buyers who hate a clutch pedal now have two automatic choices, from Rs 8,32,400.
The Baleno sits below the Fronx, which also offers a 1197 cc petrol and starts at Rs 6,89,900, Rs 91,000 above the Baleno Sigma. It also competes on price with compact SUVs such as the Hyundai Exter, listed in our Exter price report, and the Hyundai Venue in our Venue price list.
On-road price
On-road prices will be higher because registration, road tax and insurance are added and vary by state. Ask the Nexa dealer for an itemised quote and a written delivery date. The full list is on Nexa's official Baleno price page.
