NEW DELHI: Infinix's GT 50 Pro FAQ lists a 1-year standard warranty for the phone and 6 months for in-box accessories. It separately gives the GT NX Controller, Station and Cooler a 1-year standard warranty. Owners should identify the failing component before assuming the same period applies to everything used with the phone.
| Item | Period in GT 50 Pro FAQ | Key qualification |
|---|---|---|
| GT 50 Pro handset | 1 year | Physical and liquid damage excluded from standard cover |
| In-box accessories | 6 months | Model-specific FAQ wording |
| GT NX Controller, Station and Cooler | 1 year | Listed separately in the FAQ |
Why the component matters on this model
The GT 50 Pro's support question is unusually specific because Infinix presents it alongside a gaming ecosystem. A handset, controller, station and cooler can be part of the same user's setup, yet a fault in one does not identify a fault in all the others. Keeping the component names distinct helps make a service request understandable.
For example, record whether the problem occurs on the phone itself or only when another component is attached. Describe the sequence that produces it and any message displayed. That is more useful preparation than describing the whole setup simply as a gaming phone that has stopped working.
The handset FAQ also lists pressure-sensitive GT Triggers and Hydro Flow cooling among the dedicated gaming features. If a trigger or a connected accessory is the concern, name it precisely. These feature descriptions establish what Infinix says is present; they do not establish that a particular symptom will qualify for a free repair.
Two official pages use different accessory wording
There is a difference worth preserving in the paperwork. Infinix's general limited-warranty page describes a year of cover for branded products and accessories. The GT 50 Pro FAQ specifies the shorter period for in-box accessories. The table above follows the model-specific FAQ and makes that distinction explicit.
Someone seeking service for an accessory should retain both the product documentation and the relevant invoice, then ask the authorised service provider to identify the applicable terms. The difference between the pages should not be silently resolved into a promise of longer cover for every item.
The general policy counts its warranty period from the original end-user retail purchase. Keeping a legible purchase record is therefore sensible preparation. Where a separately purchased component has its own invoice, keep that record with its model details rather than relying only on the handset's paperwork.
Prepare the phone before service
Infinix's general warranty instructions require a separate backup, removal of personal information the owner wants to protect and disabling security passwords before submission. The page also says service deletes and reformats storage. Make the backup while the handset is accessible, rather than assuming its files will survive a repair.
For a gaming-focused phone, that means thinking about locally stored recordings as well as photographs and messages. Check that important files can actually be opened from the backup destination. A folder that merely appears in a backup list is less reassuring than a copy the owner has checked.
Keep a written description of the fault separate from the phone. If the issue is intermittent, note what was connected, whether it was charging and which activity was running. These are reporting suggestions, not additional eligibility conditions imposed by the company.
Standard cover has boundaries
The general policy excludes accidental and liquid damage, ordinary wear, cosmetic damage and damage caused by unauthorised servicing, among other conditions. It also directs users not to open the product. A warranty duration describes the period in which qualifying defects may be addressed; it does not settle the cause of a particular failure.
For background on this handset, our GT 50 Pro launch report covers a different question. The GT 30 range comparison and GT 20 Pro memory explainer refer to separate models. Their specifications and service assumptions should not be carried across to a GT 50 Pro claim.
