Price as of 29 October 2026, 10:37 IST. This is a report on one explicitly priced tablet configuration, not a complete variant price list. The official specifications also identify a higher-storage option, but a standalone price for every configuration was not readable during this check.

The mobile connection is the reason for the 5G suffix

The Pro 5G's purpose is easier to understand through a working day away from a fixed desk. A screen for course notes or presentations can also need its own data connection. The model's mobile-network support is therefore a functional distinction, rather than simply another performance label attached to the processor.

Xiaomi qualifies network operation by local carrier deployment. That leaves an important gap between supporting a mobile standard and receiving a particular speed in a classroom, train or office. The specification cannot establish coverage at an individual address, and no network-speed figure is being inferred from the 5G name here.

The official page describes Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi plus 5G versions. Readers comparing listings need to retain that suffix all the way through the configuration description. A matching colour and storage capacity are not enough to establish that two listings include the same connectivity hardware.

A large battery has more than one job

The battery is a defining part of this tablet's specification. Alongside normal charging, Xiaomi lists Type-C to Type-C reverse charging. That gives the Pro 5G a second role as a source of power for another device. Using it that way also means allocating some of the tablet's stored energy to something else.

The supplied package includes a 33W adapter, according to the official specifications. The separate 27W reverse-charging figure describes power going out of the tablet through a cable. Those figures answer different questions, so treating either one as the capacity of the battery would obscure what the product actually supports.

Xiaomi publishes laboratory endurance claims on its product page. They are scenario-specific tests, rather than a schedule for a mixed day of mobile data, video calls and document work. A student travelling with this tablet should treat the battery capacity as a hardware fact and the advertised running times as conditional test results.

Desktop ambitions need a separate accessory check

Xiaomi illustrates the tablet with a keyboard and pen, but says accessories are sold separately. This matters particularly when the intended task is writing a long assignment. A tablet-only price is not the same budget as a typing or handwriting setup, even when the accessories appear beside the device in company artwork.

The display supports Dolby Vision and an adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz in supported applications. Its wide shape lends itself to video and landscape documents, while a portrait page may call for a different orientation. For presentation work, checking the actual slide layout is more informative than treating the display diagonal as a productivity score.

There is another practical distinction beneath the Pro branding: the official specification lists USB 2.0 for data transfer. A powerful processor, mobile networking and a large battery do not by themselves establish a faster wired transfer standard. Those are separate parts of the hardware specification.
