Redmi 17C 5G at Rs 20,999

The 17C is the dearest of the four. Xiaomi's page lists a 6.9 inch display with up to 120 Hz adaptive refresh, a 6,000 mAh battery with 33W charging, a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip and a 50 MP AI camera. It has IP64 dust and water resistance, a side fingerprint sensor and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

It runs HyperOS 3 on Android 16, and Xiaomi lists 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates. The page offers up to 12 GB of RAM with memory extension. Our earlier reports covered its first sale on 7 October and how it compares with the Redmi 17: Redmi 17C 5G sale report and Redmi 17C 5G vs Redmi 17 5G.

Redmi 15A 5G at Rs 16,499

The 15A costs Rs 4,500 less than the 17C. It has a bigger battery on paper, at 6,300 mAh, but slower 15W charging with 7.5W wired reverse charging. The page lists a 6.9 inch 120 Hz display, an octa-core 5G processor that it does not name, and a 32 MP dual AI camera.

Redmi A7 Pro 5G at Rs 14,499

The A7 Pro 5G costs Rs 2,000 less than the 15A and has the same 6,300 mAh battery, 15W charging, 6.9 inch 120 Hz display and 32 MP dual camera on its page. The page lists IP52 protection and 200 percent volume boosted speakers, and it calls the processor the fastest in its segment citing a third-party source, which we have not verified.

Redmi A7 at Rs 12,999

The A7 is the cheapest, Rs 1,500 below the A7 Pro 5G. The page lists a 6.88 inch 120 Hz display, a 5,200 mAh battery with 15W charging, a 13 MP dual camera and an 8.2 mm body. It lists 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates, the same promise as the 17C. The A7's name on the list page does not carry 5G, unlike the other three.

What the price steps buy

From the A7 up to the 17C the steps are Rs 1,500, Rs 2,000 and Rs 4,500. The biggest step is the last one, and it brings the fastest charging, a named chip and IP64 protection in the page's own lists. The two cheapest 5G phones are only Rs 2,000 apart, with the same battery and charging on paper.
