Infinix has set 27 October 2026 for the GT 50 Pro’s Indian launch. The date appears in the launch video on its official India campaign page, alongside a preview of the gaming phone’s visible liquid-cooling design.

The campaign checked on 16 October does not establish an Indian selling price, a first-sale date or the memory configurations buyers will be able to order. An announced launch date is therefore not evidence that local retail sales have begun. The handset’s earlier overseas specifications also need to be separated from its eventual India listing.

Cooling and gaming controls

The global unveiling was on 24 April. Infinix’s original announcement describes HydroFlow micro-pump circulation through liquid-cooling channels. Part of that cooling system is visible through a window on the back.

Infinix says the pump circulates coolant at 6.5ml per minute. Its global announcement also describes an external GT Magcharge Cooler 2.0 accessory with wireless bypass charging, intended to feed the computing hardware directly while reducing battery charging heat. The Indian campaign reviewed does not establish whether that accessory will be included in the retail box.

The company’s dual-pressure GT Triggers provide another route to game controls. They recognise different press strengths and sliding gestures, with ten adjustable sensitivity levels. These remain manufacturer-described functions; Dalimss News has not tested their response or assessed sustained gaming performance. The April announcement also promises three years of operating-system upgrades and five years of security patches; the India-specific support commitment should be checked at launch. The April release also warns that battery capacity varies by market, with 6,150mAh and 6,500mAh versions.

The global phone uses the Dimensity 8400 Ultimate. MediaTek’s own Dimensity 8400 documentation describes eight Arm Cortex-A725 CPU cores and a Mali-G720 MC7 graphics processor. It also lists Frame Rate Converter technology and Adaptive Gaming Technology 3.0. Those features explain the underlying platform, but they do not establish the frame rate a particular game will deliver on this handset.

MediaTek’s specification supports WQHD+ displays at up to 144Hz, LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4 storage. The chip also supports Wi-Fi 6E and a range of cellular features. Its satellite-navigation list includes NavIC L5, another platform capability that needs confirmation on the finished Indian handset. A processor’s supported capabilities are a ceiling for device makers, rather than a promise that every phone implements them. Buyers should use the finished handset’s local specification when checking connectivity or storage, especially where a retailer combines platform details with product details.

Global specifications and the India details still needed

Infinix’s official Indonesia specification page lists a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1,208 × 2,644 resolution and refresh rates up to 144Hz. It distinguishes a 4,500-nit peak-brightness claim from 1,600 nits in high-brightness mode and 700 nits typical. Peak brightness is not continuous brightness in every usage condition.

That specification lists 12GB of physical RAM with either 256GB or 512GB storage, using LPDDR5X and UFS 4.1 respectively. Its separate extended-RAM entry is not additional physical RAM. The camera specification comprises a 50MP main unit with optical stabilisation, an 8MP ultrawide and a 13MP front camera. These details describe the overseas model, not confirmed Indian retail variants.

The same page lists a 6,500mAh battery, charging at up to 45W by cable or 30W wirelessly, and IP64 protection. Its warning says liquid-submersion damage is not covered by warranty. A water-resistance rating therefore should not be treated as permission to immerse the phone. The specification also identifies two nano-SIM slots and Wi-Fi 6.

For an eventual purchase comparison, the useful evidence will be the Indian price attached to an exact storage version and the box contents supplied with it. Cooling claims also need sustained tests under stated conditions. A short benchmark result cannot, on its own, answer how a phone behaves through a long gaming session.

The launch adds another date to an October calendar that includes the OPPO Find X10 India event. Readers comparing longer-term ownership can also use Dalimss News’ Galaxy A57 and A37 support and repair comparison. For the GT 50 Pro, the local announcement must still settle the purchasing details before a like-for-like value comparison is possible.
