NEW DELHI: Yamaha's online refund policy specifies a Rs 150 cancellation deduction for a RayZR booking and says cancellation is not accepted after the dealer generates the customer's invoice. The RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid shop page displays a Rs 2,000 booking amount. That payment is adjusted against the final vehicle quotation; it is not the scooter's ex-showroom price.

Separate the booking from the quotation

The shop page identifies the payment as a down payment that will count towards the overall vehicle price at final quotation. It also makes delivery dependent on availability and warns that some bookings may take more than 45 days. A payment receipt should therefore be kept with the eventual written quotation so the adjustment can be checked.

This distinction is particularly relevant to the RayZR because its shop listing includes both Drum and Disc options. A reader comparing the same booking amount across those choices must still establish the full price and specification of the selected version. An equal deposit does not establish an equal final bill.

Before an invoice is generated

As a practical preparation step, keep the order reference, payment receipt and booking-form copy together. Check that the model, brake variant and colour recorded on the order match the intended scooter. If something needs correcting, identify it while the order is still a booking rather than waiting until registration paperwork is being prepared.

Yamaha's policy directs the cancellation notice to the dealership with the booking-form copy, if any, and receipt. It also says a cancelled order cannot be reinstated using the same booking reference. Those are the company's stated process conditions, so a reader should preserve a copy of the notice and the dealer's response.

The policy describes the refund as a dealer transaction, with no cash repayment and a bank cheque in the customer's name. For financed orders, it routes the cancellation request through the financing entity and the refund to that entity. It does not give a specific refund completion deadline on the page reviewed.

Check which RayZR was selected

The manufacturer's current model page distinguishes the Drum's analogue console from the Disc's digital console with Y-Connect. The Disc also has the listed LED headlight and a 190mm front disc, while the Drum specification gives a 130mm front drum. These differences should appear consistently in the order description and demonstration.

Both sit within the RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid family. Yamaha lists a 125cc engine, a 99kg kerb weight, 785mm seat height and 21-litre under-seat storage. Its specification describes the torque figure of 10.3 Nm at 5,000 rpm with the assist function working. The qualification matters when reading a performance claim.

For an owner changing their mind because a particular feature is missing, identifying the precise version is more useful than relying on a photograph. A showroom model with a digital dashboard does not establish that a Drum order includes one. Keep the full variant description visible when comparing the order with the scooter offered for delivery.

Who this guide is for

This process is relevant to a reader who has made, or is considering, an online RayZR booking and wants to understand the company's cancellation conditions. It is also useful to a household deciding between the two brake variants before allowing an invoice to be raised.

It should not be treated as a promise that an invoiced vehicle can be returned through the booking process. The published invoice cut-off is the central distinction. Any separate dispute about a delivered vehicle needs its own facts and documents; a booking-refund article cannot settle that situation.
