VARANASI: Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith asked affiliated colleges on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, to supply missing internal and practical examination marks for the 2025 and 2026 sessions so that affected results can be declared. The university at Maldahiya issued separate letters for the two sessions through its Controller of Examinations.

Students waiting for an affected result should ask their college examination office whether their internal or practical marks have reached the university. The letters put the corrective work on colleges: they must upload the marks online and provide two copies to the university's confidential examination section.

Both letters ask for the information urgently, without announcing a final submission date or a date for releasing results. Students should therefore seek confirmation of the actual submission from their institution rather than treating the notice itself as confirmation that their marksheet is ready.

What the missing marks notices say

  • Issuing authority: Controller of Examinations, MGKVP.
  • Notice date: November 3, 2026.
  • Required records: online marks and two copies for the confidential examination section.
  • Result publication date: not specified in either session letter.

The controller's November 3 letter for the 2026 session says the problem came to attention during marksheet printing. Some colleges had neither uploaded internal and practical marks for relevant subjects and semesters nor submitted those marks to the university. It asks the institutions concerned to examine the referenced list and complete both parts of the submission.

A separate letter for the 2025 session describes the same missing marks problem and prescribes the same correction. The notices identify colleges through district groups and college codes. Students should use their own session and college details when asking about their case; the existence of two letters does not establish that every student in either session is affected.

The 2026 letter addresses listed colleges across Varanasi, Chandauli, Bhadohi, Mirzapur and Sonbhadra. The 2025 letter includes Varanasi, Chandauli, Mirzapur and Sonbhadra groups. These are notices from the Varanasi university to its affiliated institutions, with consequences extending beyond the city.

The requested online upload and the two copies are separate requirements in the letters. A college that has completed one step should check the other before telling a student the correction is complete. The stated purpose is to make declaration of the affected examination results possible.

What students and colleges should do

For students, the useful first check is with the college office handling examinations. Ask whether the missing component concerns an internal assessment, a practical examination or both, and whether the college has sent the required records. These questions follow the specific omissions identified by the controller.

College managers and principals should consult the applicable original letter on the official affiliation circular page. The controller directs submission to the confidential examination section. The university has not announced a common student counter, an individual application fee or a student payment requirement in these letters.

This correction should also be kept distinct from other university processes. Our earlier reports on semester fee and examination form deadlines and B.P.Ed. and M.P.Ed. counselling concern different actions. Neither of the new marks letters changes those schedules.

The controller also sends the session letters to the university leadership, the affiliation administration and the confidential examination office. The computer centre is instructed to place the information on the university website, making the original directions publicly accessible to colleges and students.

A separate instruction for back practical examinations

A third November 3 circular concerns back practical candidates at affiliated colleges in Sonbhadra, Bhadohi and Mirzapur. It says odd semester examinations are proposed in November. Examiners nominated for fifth semester practicals are also to conduct first and third semester back practical examinations, upload marks and supply two copies to the confidential section.

College identifiers and the published records

The 2025 session letter's Varanasi group includes college codes 125, 153, 157, 112, 165, 169, 135, 172 and 183. These identifiers appear in the addressee section of the Controller of Examinations' letter. The university's affiliation circular index lists the 2025 marks letter, the 2026 marks letter and the back-practical instruction as three separate entries dated November 3.

The public affiliation menu also carries a dedicated Practical Exam Marks Posting link. The university lists its address as Station Road, Maldahiya Crossing, Maldahiya, Kashi Vidyapith, Chetganj, Varanasi, PIN 221002.

That instruction does not provide a common examination day or time for those candidates. They should obtain the actual arrangement from their college. For broader background on separate academic notices, see our Varanasi campus report. The immediate task in the new letters remains completion of the missing examination records.
