GURUGRAM: Gurugram University published an examination-form extension notice on Monday, November 2, 2026, allowing affiliated colleges to complete forms for newly admitted students until Tuesday, November 10, without a late fee. The Sector 87 university has set Wednesday, November 11, as the deadline for hard copies to reach its Conduct Branch for the December 2026 odd-semester examinations.
The special November 10 provision applies only to newly admitted students. The notice separately extended the general deadline for course assignment and examination forms without a late fee to Monday, November 2, which has now passed. Students should therefore establish which provision covers their admission before relying on the later date.
Two deadlines cover different groups
The latest examination-form notice says teaching departments and affiliated colleges had sought more time because courses were unavailable for assignment and form completion on the Samarth portal. It continues an earlier Conduct Branch letter dated October 22, rather than announcing a new examination session.
For newly admitted students, the university refers to higher education department instructions allowing admissions up to November 1. It permits colleges to fill those students' examination forms until November 10 without a late fee and says colleges may visit the Conduct Branch to complete this work. The instruction is directed to institutions, so affected students should take up their case with their college.
- Examination session: December 2026, odd semesters.
- General extension without late fee: November 2, now passed.
- Newly admitted students only: forms until November 10 without late fee.
- Hard-copy submission to the Conduct Branch: November 11.
The notice gives calendar dates without a closing hour. It does not announce the start date or timetable of the December papers. A deadline for paperwork should therefore be kept separate from the examination date sheet and from any college's own arrangements for collecting records.
Course assignment comes before the form
The university's September 25 instructions for regular students for the 2026-27 academic session explain the process underlying the extension. Colleges and teaching departments first assign courses to students on Samarth, then submit examination forms for the students whose courses have been assigned. The newer notice changes the submission schedule; the older document provides the procedural background.
Those instructions put responsibility for correct subjects on the principal or department chairperson. They also state that a candidate cannot sit the examinations without completing an online examination form. Students checking their position with a college should therefore ask whether the course assignment and the examination form have both been completed.
The regular-student instructions distinguish form submission from the later verification associated with admit cards. They allow institutions to withhold admit cards where verification remains incomplete because of matters such as attendance shortages or unpaid fees. Completing the form is one required step in that process.
The phrase without a late fee concerns the penalty for delayed submission. The September instructions separately require affiliated colleges to deposit examination fees through Samarth. They say teaching-department students' examination fees, except re-appear fees, are included in the amount payable at admission. Colleges should apply the relevant fee rules when using the revised dates.
Keep registration records separate
The university notice board lists this examination-form extension separately from its registration-return schedule. Students should confirm with their institution that both processes have been handled where applicable. The extension concerns regular-student examination paperwork and should not be used as a fresh deadline for older re-appear forms.
Fees in the September instructions
The September 25 document lists examination fees for fresh students in four groups: Rs 600 in Group A, Rs 800 in Group B, Rs 1,000 in Group C and Rs 1,500 in Group D. Group A includes degree pass and honours courses. Group B includes postgraduate courses such as MA, MSc and MCom; Group C includes BEd, BCA and BBA; Group D includes MBA, MCA and engineering courses.
The document separately specifies Rs 500 for a subject change, category change or subject correction beyond the notified date, with the request submitted to the Conduct Branch. Its institutional payment procedure records the programme, college and student count, and sends an OTP to the college email entered during payment. The instructions are issued by the Assistant Registrar, Conduct, for the Controller of Examinations, under letter number GUG/Conduct/2026/04. They list conduct@gurugramuniversity.ac.in as the Conduct Branch's clarification address for colleges.
Related local education coverage includes the separate pharmacy registration schedule, adjunct faculty notice in Education and school support meeting under Vidyanjali. Each concerns a different process or initiative; the examination-form dates above come from the university's own extension notice.
