VARANASI: Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith issued two orders on Friday, October 30, 2026, extending third semester admission fee and examination form deadlines for the 2026-27 session. Students at the university near Maldahiya and those covered by its campus and affiliated college instructions must distinguish the two tasks: admission fees can be paid online until November 12, while the examination form window runs until November 15.
The examination order covers regular third semester students using the Samarth portal. It names the university campus, Gangapur, NTPC and Bhairav Talab campuses, and affiliated colleges in Varanasi and Chandauli. Students should check that their course and portal fall within this order before relying on its extension.
Completing the online examination form is followed by a paper submission. Students have until November 16 to submit its hard copy to the relevant university faculty or department, campus or affiliated college. Keep that next step in the diary alongside the November 15 online deadline; the later paper submission date does not extend the online form window.
Two orders, different purposes
The admission fee letter says the previous deadline had been extended to October 30 and now moves it to November 12. It concerns third semester undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and other programmes on Samarth. The Controller of Examination asks the academic units to inform their students and have them secure admission by paying the relevant programme's online admission fee within the revised period.
The separate examination application order also replaces an October 30 deadline. It sets the new online form period from October 31 through November 15, 2026. Its scope is explicitly limited to regular third semester students on Samarth, across the programme groups and institutions named in the document.
The examination order says the online application date will not be extended further after this revision. Students should therefore work to the stated dates rather than assume another extension will follow. Neither order specifies a clock time for closing the relevant online facility, so these dates should not be turned into an invented 11:59 pm IST deadline.
The complete submission sequence
| Action | Responsible person or institution | Last date in 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Online third semester admission fee | Covered students | November 12 |
| Online regular third semester examination form | Covered students | November 15 |
| Examination form hard copy to academic unit | Students | November 16 |
| Online examination form approval | Affiliated colleges | November 18 |
| Examination fee voucher payment | Affiliated colleges | November 21 |
| Approved hard copies to university examination department | Affiliated colleges | November 23 |
The college stages are specifically assigned to affiliated institutions. They must use their own identification and password to approve the examination forms by November 18. This is an institutional processing deadline, separate from the November 15 date by which a student must complete the online application.
Colleges then generate the examination fee voucher and deposit the prescribed amount in the designated account through RTGS or NEFT by November 21. The order refers to the amount printed on the voucher; it does not announce a single flat examination fee for every programme. The final college step is to submit approved application hard copies to the university's examination department by November 23.
What students should do
Read the admission fee letter and examination order together, then complete the applicable student actions in their stated sequence. Ask the relevant faculty, department, campus or college about the hard copy handover arrangement. The university's notice provides the institutional destinations and final dates, rather than a common collection counter or opening hour for every campus.
