NEW DELHI: Simple Energy's electric scooters start at Rs 2,04,999 for the Simple One and Rs 2,44,999 for the Simple Ultra, according to the company's website. The Ultra costs Rs 40,000 more and carries a 6.5 kWh battery with a claimed range of up to 400 km, against 5.0 kWh and 265 km for the One. Bookings cost Rs 1,947. Price as of 26 October 2026, 1 AM IST.
Simple marks both prices with an asterisk and calls the One's figure an introductory price, but the pages we checked do not explain the conditions or name a city. The family scooter, the Simple Wave, is listed with a range of up to 243 km and a top speed of 90 km/h, but no price.
Simple One vs Simple Ultra: price and specifications
| Simple One | Simple Ultra | |
|---|---|---|
| Starting price | Rs 2,04,999 | Rs 2,44,999 |
| Battery | 5.0 kWh | 6.5 kWh |
| Range (IDC) | Up to 265 km | Up to 400 km |
| Top speed (compare table) | 115 km/h | 105 km/h |
| 0 to 40 km/h | 2.55 seconds | 2.77 seconds |
| Peak torque | 72 Nm | 72 Nm |
| Charging, 0 to 80% | 5 hours 20 minutes | 4 hours |
All figures are from the comparison table on the Simple One page. The range is the IDC figure, which the page says is measured in EcoX mode, so real riding range will be lower.
What the extra Rs 40,000 buys
The Ultra's main gain is battery size. Its 6.5 kWh pack is 30 percent larger than the One's 5.0 kWh, and its claimed range is 135 km longer. Simple's comparison table also lists a faster 0 to 80 percent charge for the Ultra, 4 hours against 5 hours 20 minutes for the One. Simple says the One can be charged from any household power plug without an extra adapter.
The One is slightly quicker off the line, at 2.55 seconds from 0 to 40 km/h against 2.77 seconds, and both list the same 72 Nm of peak torque. There is one inconsistency on the site. The Ultra's own page and the home page list a top speed of 115 km/h, while the comparison table gives 105 km/h. The One's page title also still mentions a 203 km range, while its specifications say 265 km. Ask the dealer to confirm the figures for the scooter you are buying.
Battery and charging network
The One's page lists an IP67 rating for dust and water protection and a battery energy density of 167 Wh/kg, and Simple claims a charging network of more than 250 points in over 110 cities. Check how many of those are near your home and office before relying on them, because a home socket will still do most of the charging.
The Wave, Simple's family scooter, is the one to watch for price-conscious buyers. Its page lists 70 litres of storage, although the page title says 66 litres, and Simple has not published its price yet.
How it compares with rivals
At Rs 2,04,999, the Simple One is priced well above mass-market electric scooters, which mostly fall between about Rs 95,000 and Rs 1.6 lakh in the price lists we have published. Its pitch is range rather than price. Buyers who ride less than 80 km a day may find a smaller-battery scooter cheaper to own. See our Ather 450 price by city, Bajaj Chetak price list and BGauss scooter price list for comparison.
Warranty
Simple's warranty page lists 3 years or 30,000 km, whichever comes first, on the scooter and the battery, and 3 years on the portable charger. It excludes wear items such as brake pads and tyres, accident damage and repairs done outside authorised service centres, and the warranty stays with the scooter if it is sold. Simple's site also mentions an extended warranty and care plan called Simple SuperPack. On-road prices will be higher than the figures above once registration and insurance are added.
