NEW DELHI: MSI lists the MAG 275UPD E14 at Rs 36,999 on its official Make in India page. The 27-inch gaming monitor offers a choice between 4K at 144Hz and Full HD at 288Hz. MSI included it in its locally produced monitor announcement dated 7 July 2026, giving Indian buyers a display built around switching between image detail and faster refresh.

The resolution changes with the refresh rate
The central detail is the relationship between the two operating modes. The higher refresh setting uses Full HD resolution. A buyer cannot combine the advertised 288Hz maximum with the panel's native 4K image. That distinction matters when comparing product cards that place both headline numbers beside the same photograph.
For an Indian household sharing a gaming desk, the modes address different sessions. A detailed game world, a spreadsheet and a competitive shooter do not necessarily need the same display setting. The E14 lets the user change that balance on the monitor, although the computer still has to supply the chosen resolution and frame rate.
MSI describes a dedicated switching button and a five-way joystick on the right side. Its overview also includes a smaller 24.5-inch image option. These controls give the dual-mode feature a practical role: the screen can present a smaller play area when the full panel feels too large for a particular game.
Check the connection and the source device
The specification sheet lists the maximum modes through both HDMI and DisplayPort. This is useful for a desk with more than one source, because the faster setting is not described as exclusive to one input. It still requires checking the output capability and settings of the connected computer.
Console support has its own limits. MSI's console table lists 1080p, 1440p and 2160p operation at 60Hz or 120Hz, alongside HDMI CEC and variable refresh support for PS5 and Xbox. Those console modes should be read separately from the higher PC refresh figures. A monitor capability does not change a console's supported output modes.
There is also a clear boundary for laptop docking. The listed video inputs do not include USB-C, and MSI explicitly marks KVM as unsupported. Anyone planning to move between a work notebook and gaming desktop should account for keyboard, mouse and charging connections separately.
A useful setup check is to save separate display settings for detailed work and fast games. After changing mode, confirm the resolution and refresh shown by the operating system rather than relying on the monitor name alone. This matters particularly when the same desk alternates between a notebook and a desktop, each of which may retain different display settings.
Desk features beyond the mode switch
The stand supports height, portrait rotation, tilt and swivel adjustments. MSI also specifies built-in stereo speakers rated at 2W each. These are useful details for an uncluttered desk, but neither tells us how the monitor sounds in a room or how comfortable an individual user will find the supplied stand.
MSI labels the display HDR Ready. That wording should not be expanded into an unlisted HDR certification. Similarly, its 1ms MPRT entry is a motion-response specification, not a measured figure for the complete delay between pressing a button and seeing an action.
