NEW DELHI: ASUS launched the Wireless Mouse MD105 in India on 20 August 2026 at an official suggested retail price of Rs 1,799. It combines Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless connections, with switching across up to three devices. The manufacturer's linked India store now lists it at Rs 1,699, so the launch figure and the current selling price should be kept separate.

The useful distinction is how it connects
The MD105 is an office-oriented mouse whose main convenience is moving between computers. ASUS describes connections to a laptop, desktop or tablet through its two wireless modes. For a desk shared between a personal machine and a work computer, that is a more relevant specification than simply calling the device wireless.
Bluetooth also provides a connection option when a computer's available USB ports are already occupied. The alternative radio mode uses the supplied receiver. These are different ways to connect the same mouse; they should not be mistaken for a promise that every function behaves identically on every operating system.
The India technical page lists Windows 11, macOS 12 and Chrome OS. That published compatibility list is the appropriate reference for this model. The existence of Bluetooth alone is not enough to infer official support for other systems or particular side-button actions in every application.
A replaceable battery changes the daily routine
The MD105 uses an AA battery rather than the rechargeable arrangement found in some other desk accessories. The listed box contents include a battery, receiver, mouse and documentation. There is no reason to describe it as a USB-rechargeable mouse when that is not what ASUS specifies.
The weight entry also needs its qualifier: the quoted mouse weight excludes the battery. That distinction matters when comparing portable accessories, because the number on a specification page may not describe the complete device being carried. It is especially relevant here because the battery is a separate consumable part.
ASUS gives the receiver its own small dimensions and weight in the technical table. For someone moving repeatedly between home and office, the receiver is another component to keep track of. A setup using Bluetooth can avoid that separate piece for the paired computer, subject to the computer's own support.
Controls and shape take priority over gaming claims
The body has a built-in thumb rest and two side buttons. ASUS also describes PTFE feet and low-noise clicking. These details explain the intended office use more clearly than attaching an unsupported esports label to a mouse simply because it can be used with a gaming laptop.
The selectable DPI values change pointer sensitivity. A higher setting is not automatically a better setting for every display or task. On this model, the useful verified fact is that the user has a choice of the stated sensitivity steps, rather than a measured promise about accuracy in a particular game.
Milky White and Volt Green are the official colour options. The physical dimensions describe a shaped desktop mouse with a thumb rest, so appearance should not be confused with a flat travel mouse designed purely to occupy the least possible bag space. Individual fit remains something specifications alone cannot determine.
