NEW DELHI: Nokia 130M (2023) is listed at Rs 2,027 in the selected Dark Blue finish on HMD's India website, against an MRP of Rs 2,199. The product page also calls it Nokia 130 Music. It is the Nokia-branded handset, distinct from the newer HMD 130 Music.

Price as of 1 November 2026, 00:17 IST. HMD does not present a priced memory-variant ladder in the pages read for this report. The table includes every colour named in its specifications, while leaving unconfirmed colour prices unfilled. A colour in a technical sheet is not a separate verified selling quote.
Why the full model name matters
The Nokia 130M page describes a phone built around calls and local music. Pressing and holding the Music key opens the MP3 player. HMD says that player needs a microSD card, sold separately. The phone can also play FM radio through a headset or its built-in loudspeaker.
The naming is unusually easy to misread. A search for a music phone with the number 130 can surface differently branded products with different charging hardware. Keeping the Nokia name and the year label attached to this price avoids turning an older handset's listing into a quote for another device.
Our Nokia 150 storage explainer covers another Nokia model. Its details should not be transferred to this handset merely because both devices are described as music phones. A product family resemblance is useful background, but it cannot replace matching the exact technical sheet.
A music setup with a separate storage card
The Nokia sheet specifies a 2.4-inch QVGA display, S30+ software and memory-card support up to 32GB. It also identifies the voice recorder as a feature requiring a microSD card. HMD does not include a card in the box list, so removable media is part of the setup to account for separately.
For a family preparing this as a parent's phone, the useful work happens before the handover. Selecting the recordings the person actually wants, confirming that they appear in the player and showing how to reopen that player can matter more than filling a card. A large collection that is awkward to browse adds little practical value.
Radio and stored music also solve different problems. Radio is organised around whatever a station is broadcasting; a prepared card puts the listener's own selection within reach. The Nokia's dedicated Music shortcut makes that distinction relevant to everyday use, rather than leaving the media features buried in a general specification list.
Battery claims and the older charging connector
HMD specifies a removable 1450mAh battery and Micro-USB charging. It lists a headset, Micro USB charger, removable battery and user guide in the box. This is a concrete accessory difference to keep in mind when the phone joins a household whose other devices use a different socket.
The official claim is up to 20 hours of talk time and 30 days on standby under laboratory conditions. HMD says actual results depend on conditions and connectivity. Standby describes time spent waiting, so it cannot be treated as a promise of a month of loudspeaker music or continuous conversations.
That distinction also appears in our separate HMD 150 Music battery explainer. Here, it prevents an appealing endurance label from becoming a charging timetable. The official figures provide a reference point; this report has not measured either music playback endurance or call quality.
What the listing establishes
The Nokia page lists capacity for up to 2,000 contacts and 500 SMS messages. Those are useful limits when setting up a long-used number. Readers comparing a different physical design can consult our Nokia 2660 Flip SOS guide; that device's emergency-button behaviour is a separate feature.
