NEW DELHI: MSI lists the MAG 245F X24 gaming monitor at Rs 9,499 in India, with Full HD resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. Those headline details agree across its official pages. Screen size and response-time information do not line up as neatly, making the exact specification sheet an important part of understanding this model.

Price as of 1 November 2026, 00:20 IST. The amount is on MSI's Make in India campaign page. It is not a checkout calculation based on a card discount. The July announcement supplies the launch context; it does not make the model a new November unveiling.

Why the size needs a closer check

The campaign card describes a 24.5-inch display. The dedicated specification page instead lists 23.8 inches for the identified part number. Both statements are on MSI's own site. There is no verified explanation on those pages establishing whether this reflects an error, a revision or a separate configuration.

That is a meaningful difference for a compact gaming desk. A product name alone cannot settle the physical diagonal when the manufacturer's descriptions disagree. Matching the part number and the specification supplied for the actual unit matters more here than treating the campaign card as a complete description.

This is also why the facts table does not select a single diagonal for the monitor. The conflict is evidence about the published pages, rather than confirmation that either size applies to every unit sold in India. A revised product page could resolve it, but the pages checked for this report did not.

Two response measurements are being mixed

MSI's overview promotes a minimum 0.5ms grey-to-grey response. The specification table lists 1ms MPRT and leaves its grey-to-grey field marked TBD. MPRT and grey-to-grey describe different aspects of display response, so the figures cannot simply be substituted for each other.

The practical consequence is a narrower verified claim: the model is advertised for fast Full HD gaming, but the available documentation does not provide a consistent finished response-time specification. This report therefore does not turn the smaller marketing number into a guaranteed measurement of overall system latency.

For an owner upgrading an existing PC setup, the confirmed resolution and refresh are the starting point. A compatible graphics output, cable and operating-system setting are still needed to select the intended mode. A refresh figure in a product description cannot establish the frame rate of the game being played.

The unresolved entries also make it difficult to compare this particular unit with a similarly named model by specification alone. Keeping the complete product identifier attached to any quoted specification avoids carrying a figure from a neighbouring product into this report.

What the technical table does establish

The specification page identifies Adaptive-Sync, a headphone output and an internal power board. It lists the video interfaces separately, which is useful when connecting a computer that has several possible outputs. The presence of a connector should still be checked alongside the supported output mode of the source.

HDR Ready is the wording used for high dynamic range support. That is the label to retain when discussing this model, rather than adding an unlisted DisplayHDR certification. The overview also describes Anti-Flicker and Less Blue Light features, without providing a basis for promising any particular medical or comfort outcome.

Several fields, including weight and product dimensions, remain marked TBD in the technical table. Publishing precise values for those items would fill gaps with assumptions. For a wall mount or a tightly fitted desk shelf, those missing measurements are particularly relevant and should be resolved from documentation for the supplied unit.
