Price as of 26 October 2026, 23:32 IST. The opening figure is a range entry price. The official selector did not expose a complete current price table during this check, so no maximum price, automatic premium or separate Lounge Edition price is being inferred from the equipment list.

Petrol and diesel use different automatics

The Alcazar's gearbox choices are more specific than a simple manual-versus-automatic distinction. Hyundai pairs the turbo-petrol engine with a manual or dual-clutch transmission, while the diesel has a manual or conventional automatic option. The petrol DCT and diesel automatic are therefore different powertrain configurations, even where their trim badges look similar.

Hyundai's performance page also describes Normal, Sport and Eco drive modes, which alter the vehicle's response. These are operating settings within the relevant configuration, rather than additional engines. The same page discusses traction-control settings, while the model overview identifies the Alcazar as front-wheel drive. Those descriptions should not be read as an all-wheel-drive specification.

The price page names Executive, Prestige, Corporate, Platinum, Signature and Signature Knight across the main range. Fuel, transmission and seating availability vary between them. The separate Lounge Edition entry in the features table is a further reason to identify a car by its full configuration instead of relying on the Alcazar badge alone.

Seating is central to the Alcazar's role

Hyundai's interior page gives particular attention to the six-seat layout, with second-row captain seats, individual seat-mounted armrests and thigh-cushion extensions. It explicitly ties that captain-seat arrangement to the six-seater. A seven-seat vehicle is consequently not simply the same cabin with a different number written on the specification sheet.

Available cabin equipment also includes ventilated seating in the front and second rows, powered front-seat adjustment and seatback tables with device holders. These are features of selected configurations. They explain the Alcazar's emphasis on passengers beyond the driver, but they should not be attached automatically to the Rs 14,50,700 opening price.

Cabin technology extends beyond the front row

The convenience page lists wireless phone charging for both front and second-row occupants on selected versions. Dual-zone automatic climate control allows the driver and front passenger to choose separate temperature settings, while rear AC vents serve the second and third rows. This is a more useful description of cabin provision than a general claim of premium comfort.

Hyundai also describes a digital key that works with a compatible smartphone, a voice-operated panoramic sunroof and a Bose audio system with eight speakers. Phone compatibility remains part of the digital-key description. These features need to be matched to the relevant trim, alongside seating and transmission, when describing what a particular Alcazar contains.

Standard protection and higher-trim assistance

The equipment matrix lists driver, passenger, side and curtain airbags throughout, together with electronic stability control, hill-start assist, tyre-pressure monitoring, rear disc brakes and ISOFIX anchors. Its higher-trim driver-assistance entries include forward collision warning and lane-keeping assistance. The table therefore separates the common safety foundation from the additional electronic assistance offered further up the range.
