NEW DELHI: The Samsung Galaxy F36 5G supports 4K video recording on both its front and rear cameras, according to Samsung's India product page. Its headline camera specification is therefore useful for people who alternate between filming themselves and filming a scene. The India buying page currently exposes a starting price of Rs 21,999 for the 6GB/128GB version, but does not expose readable prices for both higher configurations.

Front recording is part of the specification

A front camera that records at the same advertised resolution as the rear camera makes the F36 relevant to a particular workflow. A person explaining a repair, demonstrating a recipe or recording a shop introduction may switch between narration and close views of the subject. Having the front camera support the stated recording format avoids treating every selfie segment as an afterthought.

That still leaves an important difference between the cameras. Samsung lists optical image stabilisation for the rear system, while the front camera has neither OIS nor autofocus. The shared 4K label therefore does not mean identical focusing behaviour or stabilisation. Someone recording at arm's length should judge the front camera on those separate characteristics, especially when moving around.

The official specification records UHD 4K at 30 frames per second. It does not establish the quality of a finished clip, the effect of changing light or the steadiness of a walking shot. This report is based on published capabilities rather than a camera test. Those boundaries matter more than Samsung's promotional language about shake-free results.

A screen and storage combination for reviewing clips

The F36 pairs its camera system with a 6.7-inch screen and an Exynos 1380 processor. Samsung's launch material also identifies a vapour cooling chamber. These details describe the hardware available for capture, playback and editing, but they do not provide a measured export time for an edited video or a guarantee that every application runs without delays.

The storage ladder deserves a separate look from the camera headline. The higher configurations include a choice between retaining the base storage capacity and moving to a larger one. For someone collecting original footage, the amount of local space is a different consideration from how many applications can remain active. Paying for extra RAM alone does not create more room for files.

Samsung allows microSD expansion up to 2TB, using a hybrid SIM position. That is relevant to someone keeping a second number for work: choosing a memory card uses the position otherwise available to that second SIM. A filming workflow built around removable storage needs to accommodate this physical arrangement.

Who it is for

The model's most distinctive audience is someone making front-facing and rear-facing clips on the same phone, while also wanting an AMOLED screen for viewing them. Its leather-style finish and choice of Luxe Violet, Coral Red and Onyx Black give it a different design emphasis from a plain utility handset. These are specification-based use cases, not a recommendation based on hands-on testing.

There are everyday limitations to include in that assessment. The sheet lists no stereo support and no Samsung DeX. Samsung also says the fast charger is sold separately. The phone's 5,000mAh typical battery and 25W charging support should therefore be read alongside the charging equipment supplied or already available at home.
