The official CUET UG 2026 syllabus is arranged by subject on NTA's CUET website, with separate PDF links for languages, domain subjects and the General Aptitude Test. The published framework has 37 tests: 13 languages, 23 domain subjects and one aptitude test. Candidates can select up to five subjects, but the right combination depends on the university programme they want.

The CUET(UG)-2026 Syllabus page gives each subject's code alongside its name and download link. This guide uses that page and the 2026 bulletin, checked on 2 November 2026. Search suggestions also show interest in 2027, but the 2026 document should remain a labelled reference until the relevant next-cycle rules are verified.

How to download the CUET UG syllabus PDF

Open the official CUET UG home page. Under Information, select Syllabus and make sure the destination heading reads CUET(UG)-2026 Syllabus. On that page, select the linked subject name. Each entry opens its own syllabus document rather than a single combined PDF for every possible course combination.

Use the code as a second check when saving a subject document. A student seeking Physics should match code 322, while code 306 identifies Chemistry. Save files with the edition and subject in their names. This makes it easier to compare a later revision without accidentally replacing one subject's checklist with another.

The website's general browser title still contains a reference to CUET-UG 2025 on pages opened for this report. The specific page heading and linked 2026 information bulletin provide a clearer edition check. Do not select a document solely because a search result's title contains the examination name.

CUET syllabus for PCB, commerce and arts students

For students looking for PCB subjects, the syllabus list provides Biology under code 304, Chemistry under 306 and Physics under 322. The Biology entry also names Biological Science, Biotechnology and Biochemistry. These are the official entry's labels; they do not by themselves establish which combination a particular degree programme will accept.

Commerce-related entries include Accountancy / Book-Keeping, Business Studies and Economics / Business Economics. Other listed subjects include History, Political Science, Geography / Geology, Psychology and Sociology. A stream label such as commerce or arts is therefore a starting point for finding documents, rather than an official admission package that fits every university.

The 2026 bulletin allows a maximum of five subjects, including languages and the General Aptitude Test, irrespective of the subjects taken in Class 12. It also directs candidates to choose according to the desired university programme's eligibility criteria. Permission to sit a test is one question; whether a university can use that test for a particular course is another.

Language syllabus and General Aptitude Test

The bulletin describes language testing through reading comprehension, literary aptitude and vocabulary. Its comprehension passages can be factual, literary or narrative. Domain subjects follow the NCERT syllabus framework, with the subject-specific PDFs supplying the detailed coverage that a student should use for revision.

The General Aptitude Test covers general knowledge, current affairs, general mental ability, numerical ability, quantitative reasoning, and logical and analytical reasoning. Its code is 501. A candidate should check whether the target course requires this test before using one of the five available subject choices for it.

Under the 2026 test scheme, each paper has 50 compulsory multiple-choice questions and a duration of 60 minutes. Correct answers earn five marks and incorrect answers attract a deduction of one mark. These figures describe the published 2026 format, rather than a confirmed announcement for a future edition.

Check university eligibility before choosing CUET subjects

Build a short course checklist before finalising a combination: university, programme name, required Class 12 subjects, required CUET papers and the university's separate admission route. The official CUET UG bulletin says appearing in CUET does not create a right to admission. Participating universities handle admission, apply their criteria and publish their own schedules and merit lists.

For related preparation checks, read the official NCERT books download guide and SWAYAM college credit explainer. Students comparing postgraduate routes can consult CUET PG eligibility. Those routes have separate rules and should be checked alongside, rather than substituted for, the undergraduate programme's requirements.
