WBMCC adds Round 2 admission day on 19 September and sets Round 3 calendar

The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee has published a revised tentative schedule dated 17 September 2026 for an additional Round 2 admission day, Round 3, and the stray vacancy round of WB NEET UG counselling. The memo from the Directorate of Medical Education, Swasthya Bhawan, covers State Quota, Private Management Quota and NRI Quota seats in West Bengal.
For Round 2, WBMCC has fixed an additional day of reporting and admission on 19 September 2026 from 10 am to 4 pm as per server time. Allotted candidates must appear with original documents, college fees and bond after physical document verification. The schedule notes that for all private medical colleges the admission process will be held in different government medical colleges in Kolkata under a related notice already on the website, while private dental colleges report at Dr R Ahmed Dental College.
Round 3 registration, verification and allotment dates
Round 3 online registration for NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates runs from 11 am on 28 September to 6 pm on 30 September 2026. Online fee payment runs from 11 am on 28 September to midnight on 30 September. Candidate verification at designated colleges is listed for 29 September, 30 September and 1 October from 11 am to 4 pm, with a separate note that NRI candidates should follow Notice Point No. 3.
Online seat surrender at the allotted college with original documents is scheduled on 30 September and 1 October from 10 am to 3 pm. Publication of the successfully verified candidates list and the Round 3 seat matrix is listed after 5 pm on 1 October. Online choice filling and locking then run from 6 pm on 1 October to 10 am on 4 October. Round 3 allotment is due after 4 pm on 8 October, with reporting and admission on 12, 13 and 14 October from 10 am to 4 pm.
Stray vacancy round in mid-October
The same PDF sets the online stray vacancy registration from 11 am on 15 October to 6 pm on 16 October, with fee payment until midnight on 16 October. Verification is listed for 16 and 17 October. The verified list and seat matrix for the stray round are due after 5 pm on 17 October, choice filling from 6 pm on 17 October to 10 am on 18 October, and allotment by 12 noon on 23 October. Reporting runs from 2 pm to 6 pm on 23 October and again on 24 and 26 October from 10 am to 4 pm.
Upgraded candidates are told to collect fees and documents with a server-generated relieving letter from the previous college before joining the newly allotted college. All timings are marked as per server time. The schedule is signed for the Director of Medical Education and Chairman of WBMCC.
Private medical college candidates must confirm which Kolkata government medical college will host their document check before travelling on 19 September or during Round 3 reporting days. WBMCC says a related notice naming those venues is already on the website. Private dental candidates should plan for Dr R Ahmed Dental College as written in the schedule.
Server time is repeated through the table. Local wall clocks that differ from the counselling server can create false comfort at the edge of a window. Candidates should complete registration, payment, choice locking and uploads with a buffer rather than at the final minute printed in the PDF.
Candidates holding a Round 2 seat who still need to complete admission should treat 19 September 10 am to 4 pm as the extra reporting day named in this revision. Candidates planning Round 3 should diary the 28 September registration opening and the October allotment and reporting blocks. The controlling document is the 17 September 2026 PDF on the WBMCC schedule page.
