NEW DELHI: vivo's Y29 5G store page displays Rs 13,999 for the selected 4GB/128GB Diamond Black version, while its Y200e page lists Rs 23,999 for 6GB/128GB in Saffron Delight. The Rs 10,000 difference accompanies an important screen change: Y200e has a full-HD AMOLED panel, whereas Y29 uses an HD-resolution LCD.

Price as of 5 November 2026, 01:55 IST. These are prices attached to the selected variants, without subtracting exchange benefits. Y29's opened page showed the selected version as unavailable. Its lower displayed figure is therefore a price reference rather than confirmation that the model can be ordered at checkout.
Similar screen sizes, different viewing propositions
The diagonal sizes look close: Y200e is listed at 6.67 inches and Y29 at 6.68 inches. Yet the panel type and resolution differ substantially. A reader comparing only physical screen size could miss the most consequential distinction for reading small text, viewing a photograph or inspecting a scanned document.
Both phones advertise refresh rates reaching 120Hz. That common ceiling does not remove the resolution difference, and it should not be taken to mean every app refreshes at the maximum. Scrolling behaviour and the amount of detail that can be represented on the panel are separate questions. A high refresh figure answers only part of the display comparison.
The lower listing also has less physical RAM
The selected Y29 carries less physical memory, even though the internal storage figure matches Y200e. That makes this an entry-configuration comparison rather than a like-for-like memory contest. It would be misleading to attribute the entire price gap to the display or imply that all Y29 versions have the same RAM allocation.
Y29's specification page lists several RAM and storage configurations. The Y200e store also shows a higher RAM option, although its separate parameter page highlights a different configuration from the selected store listing. The store's selected product name is therefore the basis for the price row; selector labels do not establish unobserved variant prices.
The storage technologies also differ. vivo specifies UFS 2.2 for Y200e and eMMC 5.1 for Y29. These are useful distinctions when reading the hardware sheet, but the pages provide no shared, independently measured app-opening test. This report consequently makes no numerical claim about how much faster either handset will feel.
A larger battery without a higher charging figure
Y29 publishes the larger battery capacity while both support the same advertised charging power. This is a useful example of why a battery comparison should separate capacity from replenishment. A larger reservoir does not automatically establish a shorter charging session, and equal supported wattage does not establish equal time to full.
For an Indian reader using the phone for classes, maps and calls, the relevant split is between time away from a socket and time available beside one. That is a different decision from choosing a display for long reading sessions. The specification sheets identify the hardware differences, while an actual mixed-use endurance comparison would require matched testing.
Finish and cameras add practical distinctions
Saffron Delight Y200e uses a vegan-leather back, while the Black Diamond finish has a different material. vivo's parameter page also lists different thickness and weight figures for those finishes. The colour choice therefore has a physical dimension beyond appearance, which matters when comparing a sample in a shop with an online listing.
Y200e's listed front camera has a higher resolution, while both rear systems feature a 50MP main camera. That does not establish equal rear-camera output or a guaranteed selfie-quality lead. Lens characteristics, processing and lighting remain relevant. Someone using the front camera for calls should assess that task separately from photographing documents with the rear camera.
Both store pages list Funtouch OS 14 as the software baseline. Readers can follow subsequent software context in our vivo update report. Our T5e and T5x comparison covers another part of the range, while the battery capacity explainer explains the terminology used on specification sheets.
The Y200e parameter sheet lists a hybrid SIM and microSD arrangement, as does the Y29 sheet. For a reader who keeps personal and work connections together while storing media locally, slot allocation deserves attention alongside the advertised storage total. Check the intended SIM and card combination before treating expandable storage as an entirely separate resource.
