NEW DELHI: vivo lists the T5e with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage at Rs 13,999, while the T5x 5G with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is Rs 27,999 on its India store. Despite the related names, these are quite different phones: the T5e is a 4G model, while the T5x supports 5G and has different display, camera and battery specifications.

Similar names conceal a network difference
The T5e specification page lists dual-SIM standby on 4G and contains no 5G network entry. The T5x page explicitly lists 5G support. That distinction is more useful than assuming every phone shown in a brand's current catalogue belongs to the same generation of mobile connectivity.
The store prices also cover different amounts of memory, so this is not a comparison of equal-capacity versions. The table names the exact configurations attached to the visible prices. It does not assign the T5x price to its other RAM and storage combinations.
Memory changes in more than capacity
The T5e uses eMMC 5.1 storage, while vivo specifies UFS 3.1 for the T5x. These are different storage technologies, in addition to the different capacities in the priced entries. The manufacturer pages identify the hardware, although they do not provide a common app-loading test for this pair.
There is also a reversal in expansion support. The T5e accepts a microSD card, with support stated up to 2TB, and has a slot layout for the card alongside its SIMs. The T5x parameter sheet says storage expansion is not supported. Its larger built-in capacity does not imply a memory-card slot.
The display difference is sharper than the size difference
The T5e screen measures 6.74 inches diagonally and the T5x screen 6.76 inches. The advertised sizes are close, but the resolution and refresh-rate specifications are different. Both use LCD technology, so neither should be described as having an AMOLED panel.
vivo quotes high-brightness mode at 570 nits for the T5e and 1200 nits for the T5x. These are specifications under the brand's stated conditions, rather than measurements from this article. The resolution entries are the more direct way to see that the displays differ beyond their diagonals.
Battery, charging and the weight of the handset
The T5x combines a larger stated battery with a higher charging power rating. Both pages list a charger among the box contents. The figures describe the phones' supported charging arrangements; they do not establish the time needed for a full charge in ordinary use.
The T5e weighs 199g, compared with 219g for the T5x. Both list a plastic composite back. That puts the battery comparison alongside another practical physical difference, without treating capacity alone as proof of longer runtime on a particular network or app.
Cameras and everyday hardware
The T5e has an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The T5x uses a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera, a 2MP bokeh camera and a 32MP front camera. The T5x product page also advertises video recording in 4K from the front and rear.
The camera specifications should not be turned into a simple multiplier for picture quality. They identify the available hardware and recording options, while exposure, processing and light affect the final image. This comparison does not include sample photographs or a hands-on camera test.
Software overlaps, protection does not
Both parameter pages list OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. The T5e has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, as does the T5x. These shared features help explain why the catalogue names can look closely related even though the underlying network and camera hardware differ.
For protection, the T5e is rated IP64. The T5x parameter page lists IP68 and IP69, while warning that resistance is not permanent and liquid damage is excluded from warranty. The official prices establish the cost of the named versions; the specification sheets establish how far apart those versions are.
