NEW DELHI: The current Suzuki Burgman Street has a 24.6-litre underseat compartment, with additional storage in the front apron and separate utility hooks. That figure describes the boot alone. The front pockets are distinct spaces with different uses, and Suzuki does not present a single combined luggage-capacity figure for the entire scooter.
| Storage or access point | What Suzuki lists |
|---|---|
| Underseat compartment | 24.6 litres |
| Left front compartment | Covered, with a 2A USB outlet |
| Right front pocket | Quick access, space for a 500 ml beverage |
| Utility hooks | Two, including a folding, lockable rear hook |
| Helmet hooks | Two beneath the seat for use while parked |
| Fuel access | Tail-mounted external lid |
Match the storage claim to the right Burgman
Suzuki introduced this generation of Burgman Street in April 2026, naming Ride Connect Edition and Ride Connect TFT Edition as its variants. Its product page now describes the revised utility layout. Owners consulting older brochures should check that they are looking at the same generation before relying on a boot-capacity figure or a photograph of the fuel-filler arrangement.
The distinction matters because Burgman Street EX is also a separate name in Suzuki's range. A familiar family badge does not establish identical storage, controls or bodywork. For an owner organising accessories or asking a workshop about a seat mechanism, the full vehicle name and version are more useful than simply saying Burgman.
Litres do not establish the shape of your luggage
Suzuki says the underseat compartment can accommodate a full-face helmet and gives shopping bags and rain gear as other uses. That is the company's description, not a fit test of every helmet shell. Before relying on it, try your own helmet in the stationary scooter and check that the seat closes normally without pressure on the helmet or its fittings.
The same test applies to a rigid office bag. An overall capacity does not tell you the width of the opening, the contour of the floor or the space around the seat hardware. Soft rainwear can occupy awkward corners that a hard case cannot. Plan around the actual items you carry together, rather than treating the litre figure as a promise about any particular combination.
Our Suzuki Burgman Street price list: Rs 1,04,044 to Rs 1,14,820 ex-showroom Delhi discusses another scooter's separately stated boot capacity. Similar-looking volume figures should not be read as proof that the same helmet or bag fits both shapes.
Use the front compartments for their intended roles
The covered left compartment puts a USB outlet near a stored phone, while the right pocket provides quicker access to a small item. That is a different arrangement from packing everything beneath the seat. Think about which items you need at a brief stop and which can remain put away for the whole journey.
The stated 2A charging figure is a current rating. It does not by itself establish the charging power in watts or a branded fast-charging protocol. If charging performance matters, check the vehicle documentation and your phone's requirements before assuming that a familiar cable will deliver the same speed as a wall charger.
For everyday use, check that a connected cable does not interfere with closing the compartment or using the controls. Take valuables with you when leaving the scooter. A convenient place to put a phone during a journey is not evidence of a theft-protection guarantee or a published waterproof rating.
Distinguish carrying hooks from parking hooks
Suzuki describes utility hooks for bags and separate underseat hooks for hanging helmets while parked. These are different jobs. Do not count the helmet hooks as additional enclosed boot volume, or assume that a bag hook has an unlimited load rating because the product page illustrates shopping use.
Keep luggage away from the rider's feet and moving controls, and follow the load instructions supplied with the scooter. The Burgman's extended front footboards contribute to its riding position; filling that space indiscriminately would undermine the very flexibility that makes the layout distinctive.
Refuelling and seat access are separate conveniences
The tail-mounted filler means refuelling does not require lifting the seat. For a commuter who keeps rainwear or a bag beneath it, that separates a fuel stop from unpacking the boot. The TFT Edition also offers keyless access functions, which should be demonstrated on the actual variant rather than assumed from a photograph.
Owners can practise locating the filler release and seat release while parked and check how the supplied key or remote is used. Keep the instructions accessible outside the scooter. This is especially helpful when another household member borrows the vehicle and needs to refuel without an explanation over the phone.
