NEW DELHI: Hero's Delhi-specific price page lists the Xoom 160 ZX at Rs 1,44,998 ex-showroom Delhi. The page shows that single variant in its price table. It is a published vehicle-price reference, with registration, insurance and other applicable charges still needed to establish the amount payable for a particular purchase.

Price as of 5 November 2026, 23:52 IST. This report uses the explicitly labelled Delhi variant table. Hero's generic product page also contains a different price in its page data without an equally clear city label, so the Delhi listing should be checked against a written quotation before payment.

What the listed price covers

Hero's city page distinguishes the ex-showroom figure from an on-road amount and says the latter varies with road tax, registration, insurance and accessories. It does not supply a complete Delhi ownership bill in the visible variant table. Adding an assumed insurance premium or a fixed registration charge would turn that published figure into an unsupported estimate.

A useful quotation should name the ZX variant and separate the vehicle price from registration, insurance, accessories and any additional package. That makes it possible to see why a final total differs from the headline. It also prevents an optional touring accessory from being mistaken for equipment included in the published vehicle price.

The Xoom 160 has a distinct mechanical brief

The brochure describes a liquid-cooled engine and an automatic transmission, while the product page highlights the i3S silent start-stop system. In practical terms, the Xoom 160 combines a scooter's automatic operation with a more substantial engine and body package. Its identity is not established by sharing the Xoom badge with Hero's smaller scooters.

That matters when reading a family price comparison. Our Xoom 125 vs Xoom 110 price: Xoom 110 starts lower at Rs 75,321 concerns those models. The larger scooter needs its own assessment of dimensions, handling at low speed and the equipment actually fitted, rather than a conclusion drawn from a similar model name.

Dimensions deserve as much attention as output

Hero lists a 787 mm seat height, 1,348 mm wheelbase and 155 mm ground clearance. These figures describe different parts of the package. Seat height alone cannot establish whether a rider can confidently move the scooter backwards on a slope, and ground clearance alone does not prove that a loaded scooter will clear every speed breaker.

For a household using a narrow parking space, practise the ordinary manoeuvres while stationary or at walking pace in a suitable demonstration area. Check the reach to the ground, the effort required to move the vehicle and room for turning. A specification sheet can identify what to examine, but it cannot reproduce the shape of your parking entrance.

The brochure also explicitly calls the Xoom 160 an adventure-styled maxi scooter and says Hero does not recommend it as a dedicated adventure vehicle. That qualification is useful context for the styling. Rugged-looking bodywork or tyre tread should not be treated as an unrestricted off-road capability claim.

Distinguish standard equipment from touring accessories

Hero advertises a front disc with ABS, a dual-chamber LED headlamp, smart-key functions and dashboard navigation. The brochure specifies the front disc at 240 mm. Ask for these features to be demonstrated on the vehicle being supplied, particularly the keyless controls and the process for displaying route instructions.

The product page labels the longer visor and touring box as accessories. Their appearance in promotional material does not establish that they are part of the quoted ZX price. If either is wanted, ask for a separate description, fitted cost and confirmation of what mounting hardware is included.

Our Xoom 160 handover checklist: Smart Key and 14-inch wheels focuses on equipment checks. This report concerns the Delhi price listing and the distinction between the scooter's published specification and the final itemised bill.

Use a consistent basis when comparing scooters

A meaningful comparison needs the same price basis, a named variant and a clear date. An on-road quotation for this scooter should not be placed beside an ex-showroom starting figure for another model without explaining the difference. Similarly, an accessory-equipped display scooter is not automatically a representation of the base quotation.

For mechanical context, our Hero bike price list: HF Deluxe from Rs 59,477, Splendor+ Rs 78,912, Xtreme 160R Rs 1,13,829 examines a different approach to a performance scooter. It provides context for the category, without establishing a current price comparison or replacing Hero's own Xoom specifications.
