NEW DELHI: Revolt's RV1 model page states that its battery is covered for 8 years or 80,000 km, whichever comes first, and will be replaced if battery health falls below 70% within that period. The vehicle warranty is listed separately at 5 years or 60,000 km. Owners need to match the model-specific promise to their own purchase documents.

Use the RV1 page for the RV1 claim

There is a reason to keep the model name in the discussion. Revolt's older support article titled What is the Battery Warranty gives a different duration and does not name RV1. It is dated well before the current model-page wording. The general answer should not silently replace the specific statement, and the newer website wording should not be assumed to rewrite every earlier owner's contract.

For an existing motorcycle, start with the invoice and the warranty document supplied for that vehicle. If those records differ from the public model page, retain both versions and request an explanation for the particular purchase. This is a documentation issue to resolve before a claim decision, rather than a reason to select whichever web answer appears more favourable.

Distinguish a health assessment from a range complaint

The RV1 is advertised with 100 km IDC range, a 70 km/h top speed and a removable battery. Those details place the warranty in the context of a city motorcycle that can be charged away from its parking space. Its battery-health condition concerns the battery itself. It should not be converted into a guaranteed minimum distance for each journey.

If the concern is reduced usable distance, record what happened in ordinary terms. Note whether the difficulty appeared suddenly, whether charging completed as expected and whether the same behaviour recurred. These observations give a technician something to investigate. A rider does not need to announce a precise battery-health result based only on the distance shown on the motorcycle's display.

Keep the removable battery and vehicle records together

For this model, portability makes good record keeping particularly useful. Keep the charger and battery identification details alongside the motorcycle documents. If an authorised workshop has previously inspected or replaced equipment, retain that paperwork too. This is suggested preparation for discussing the fault, not a claim that the RV1 page publishes a compulsory list of attachments.

Ask the workshop to distinguish the measured battery condition from a charging or connection problem. A written finding should identify the equipment examined, the concern reported and the decision reached. Where the complaint concerns battery health, the useful answer is an assessment linked to the stated threshold, rather than a vague assurance that the motorcycle appears normal.

Check what the public page leaves unanswered

The RV1 page does not publish a post-warranty battery replacement price. It directs customers to a Revolt service centre for that information. It also does not provide a complete model-specific claims procedure in the material read for this article. No replacement cost, diagnostic fee, claim turnaround or automatic approval has therefore been inferred here.

If a repair estimate is offered, keep it separate from the warranty decision. Ask which item the estimate covers and whether the workshop has accepted or declined coverage for that item. This prevents the cost discussion from substituting for an explanation of eligibility. It also gives the owner a clear record if further clarification is needed about the applicable document.

Our Revolt bike price list: RV1 Rs 99,999, RV1+ Rs 1,19,990, RVX Rs 1,39,990 covers the wider motorcycle lineup. The Ampere Nexus battery warranty: 60 months or 75,000 km from July 2025 concerns another Revolt family and should not be used as an RV1 specification sheet. For another manufacturer's published battery terms, see the Ambrane Charge 25 price: Rs 649 for the Black GaN adapter. Model names and purchase dates remain essential when reading any of these policies.
