Under Rs 500: basic and dual-port chargers

The Car Power 5 at Rs 199 has two USB ports with 12W in total, enough for a phone on a short drive but slow for anything else. The Car Power Mini and Car Power 7 both cost Rs 349; the Mini quotes 38W across QC and PD ports. The Car Power 30 at Rs 399 pairs a PD Type-C port with a USB-A port. The Car Power View at Rs 425 lists a 36W Type-C port and an 18W USB port, and the Car Power 16 at Rs 449 goes to 51W with a 33W PD port.

Rs 525 to Rs 999: fast charging and more ports

Several of the more powerful chargers sit in this band. The Car Power 80 at Rs 549 quotes 80W across two ports, while the Car Power Quard at Rs 599 has four ports and 111W. The Car Power 1C at Rs 649 is the charger pictured above, with three outputs and 71W. The Car Power 3X at Rs 549 has a built-in 3-in-1 cable plus a USB-A port, so four devices can charge at once. The Car Power Trail at Rs 999 matches the Quard's 111W and adds an extra cigarette lighter socket.

Retractable cables and inverters

The Car Power Flexo at Rs 1,149 and the Car Power Neo at Rs 1,349 have retractable Type-C cables built in. The Neo quotes 96W in total, with 45W through the cable, 33W from a Type-C PD port and 18W from USB-A. The top three are inverters, which convert the car's 12V supply to 220V AC: the Zaptor at Rs 2,499, the Car Power One at Rs 3,099 and the Car Power III Pro at Rs 3,399, each rated at up to 200W. That is enough for a laptop charger or a camera battery, not for a kettle or a hair dryer.

Phone holders

Portronics also lists 14 car mobile holders, from Rs 299 for the Clamp Z to Rs 1,475 for the Charge Clamp 3, which also charges the phone. The Charge Clamp models, from Rs 949, combine a holder with wireless charging; the Charge Clamp 4 is a 15W vent-mount unit.

Before you buy

Check that your car's socket stays live with the ignition off before leaving a charger plugged in, and run inverters only with the engine on. Portronics offers no refunds and a 7-day replacement for faulty items, as our Portronics return policy guide explains.
