Price as of 29 October 2026, 09:46 IST. Variant names have been shortened by removing the repeated City prefix and diesel suffix. CBC is the chassis configuration identified in the selector. Registration, insurance and any body-building work require a separate quotation; this table is not an on-road price sheet.
Read the number as a load class
The City range covers payload classes of 1,300 kg, 1,400 kg and 1,500 kg. Mahindra's City brochure pairs these with a 2,523 cc, four-cylinder m2Di diesel engine, a five-speed synchromesh gearbox and maximum output of 52.2 kW. Peak torque is 200 Nm, available between 1,400 and 2,200 rpm.
The practical distinction is more than a badge. The brochure gives the City 1.3 a cargo box measuring 2,500 mm in length, while the City 1.4 and 1.5 use a 2,640 mm box. Width is 1,700 mm. That longer floor can matter when the load consists of crates or cartons that cannot simply be stacked higher.
For a vegetable distributor, the distinction between floor area and carrying weight is especially useful. A load of loosely packed produce may fill the available space before it reaches the payload limit. Dense packaged goods can reverse that relationship. The City labels therefore need to be read alongside the actual body dimensions and the intended consignment.
Why CBC deserves a separate line
The catalogue displays both chassis and load-body configurations. A chassis entry cannot be treated as a complete delivery vehicle budget without accounting for the intended body. The distinction is familiar from our Mahindra Bolero price: Rs 8,56,999 to Rs 9,98,999 for B4, B6, B6 (O) and B8, although that model's configurations and specifications are separate.
There is also a limit to what a price table can establish. A suffix is useful for identifying a vehicle, but it does not settle every equipment question. Mahindra's selector specifically associates height-adjustable seating and iMAXX technology with the 1.4 T VXi entry. Equipment should be matched to the exact variant rather than assumed across the range.
The City brief is local distribution
Mahindra describes the City series as a vehicle for intra-city work. Its original range announcement separates that role from the HD series' heavier and longer-distance applications. In a local distribution operation, loading access, the helper's seat and the number of stops may matter as much as the maximum consignment weight.
The brochure also distinguishes seating by specification: it lists D+2 seating, with a separate D+1 qualification for the manual-steering version. That is why a general claim about every City pickup seating the same number of people would be too broad. The registration and the exact vehicle specification remain the relevant references.
Our coverage of Mahindra Bolero Neo price: Rs 9.06 lakh to Rs 10.85 lakh for five diesel variants provides another view of commercial mobility, while the report on Mahindra BE 6 price list: Rs 19.45 lakh to Rs 26.95 lakh, XEV 9e from Rs 21.90 lakh tracks activity in commercial EVs. Neither changes the configuration-specific nature of this diesel pickup list.
What the displayed figures establish
The table records the complete set returned by the public City selector during this check. It should not be expanded using an older launch sheet or a general range banner. Mahindra says its prices are indicative and that the prices and schemes at invoicing apply. A written vehicle description is therefore essential to understanding what any final quotation actually includes.
