NEW DELHI: Lava O1 is listed at Rs 6,999 and Lava O2 at Rs 7,999 on the company's Indian online shop. O1 starts lower, while O2 pairs its higher price with more physical memory, more storage and higher-resolution cameras. These are the displayed product prices, not bank-card or exchange calculations. Price as of 26 October 2026, 23:45 IST.

What the price difference changes
The clearest distinction is the memory configuration. O2's listing specifies UFS 2.2 storage alongside its larger capacity. O1's product description identifies its processor as the Unisoc T606. Lava advertises an octa-core processor for O2 on the shop page, but that description does not name the chip. A processor ranking would therefore go beyond what these particular listings establish.
For someone keeping downloaded lessons, documents and photographs on a phone, the larger storage allocation is a concrete difference. For someone moving between messaging, a browser and an online class, physical RAM is the separate specification to examine. Those uses explain why memory belongs alongside price in this comparison, although they do not amount to a measured performance result.
O1 also advertises expandable RAM. That should be read separately from the physical memory shown in the table. Adding the advertised figures together would obscure the hardware comparison. The same caution applies when comparing these phones with the different memory configurations in our Lava Blaze Curve price list.
Similar screen rhythm, different camera figures
Both displays have the same listed refresh rate, so the price step does not buy a higher refresh-rate ceiling here. O2's page describes a punch-hole panel, while O1's page gives its diagonal and refresh rate. The slightly different diagonal measurements should not be treated as proof of a dramatic difference in usable screen space or picture quality.
The camera specifications separate the phones more visibly on paper. O1 lists a dual rear camera arrangement, while O2 highlights its main AI camera. Their front-facing camera resolutions also differ. These are sensor-resolution claims from Lava, not a camera test: they cannot establish which phone produces cleaner indoor portraits, more accurate skin tones or better photographs after sunset.
That distinction matters for readers comparing school assignments, scanned paperwork or family photographs. A higher headline resolution is one piece of the specification sheet, but the result also needs to be judged in actual images. We have not used manufacturer sample pictures to declare a photography winner or attached an unsupported performance score to either handset.
Charging is common ground
The matching battery-capacity and charging-power claims make this a useful example of a price difference that does not change every specification. Neither figure, by itself, establishes how long the phones will last between charges. Screen settings, network conditions and the work being done can change the experience, so this comparison does not promise a particular day-long or multi-day runtime.
O1's description names stock Android 13 and a side fingerprint sensor. O2 also lists a side fingerprint sensor, adds face unlock and describes an AG glass back. Lava's description of a clean software interface is a company claim. The shop pages do not provide a shared, dated software-support schedule that would justify declaring either model the longer-supported phone.
Read these as listed prices
Lava's shop marks both products unavailable at the time of checking. The figures establish what the official pages display; they do not establish an orderable handset or an equivalent price in a neighbourhood shop. No delivery date, restock date or future discount has been inferred. The listed prices also should not be confused with the higher MRP figures shown beside them.
For wider context, our Infinix Hot 60 and Hot 60i comparison and vivo T5e and T5x comparison show other ways price and configuration can diverge. Here, the O1 and O2 comparison turns mainly on memory and camera specifications, with charging and refresh rate remaining common ground.
