NEW DELHI: Infinix's India website lists the Hot 40i at Rs 9,999 for the selected Palm Blue version with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The memory figure needs care: the handset's advertised 16GB total combines physical RAM with a virtual extension, rather than describing 16GB of installed physical memory.

One memory version, with a qualification

The readable product selector shows a single storage choice. It does not establish a separate selling price for every colour. The verified figure therefore belongs to the selected finish and configuration, with the other finishes recorded as catalogue choices.

Hot 40i's India overview identifies UFS 2.2 storage and a dedicated microSD slot supporting expansion up to 2TB. The same page explains the split behind the larger RAM headline. These are distinct forms of capacity: internal storage, removable storage and the advertised RAM extension should each keep their own label.

That distinction is particularly relevant when this handset is passed between family members. A photo library and downloaded entertainment create a storage question, while keeping apps available creates a memory question. A large combined number can obscure which resource is being discussed. The Hot 40i has unusually prominent storage messaging, making that separation central to understanding this specific listing.

The front camera is part of the model's identity

Infinix's India specifications list a 50MP rear camera and a 32MP front camera with flash. The display is specified at 16.76cm, with HD+ resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. A side-mounted fingerprint reader is also listed.

Infinix's global Hot 40i overview describes the Magic Ring interface as presenting information about charging, voice calls and face unlocking around the screen opening. That is a notification treatment, rather than an additional camera. It helps explain why the front of this model appears so prominently in the company's promotional material.

The global page also discusses portrait and slow-motion functions. Those descriptions establish that the brand promotes multiple shooting tools; they do not establish how skin tones, moving subjects or difficult indoor lighting will look in an independent test. A selfie camera's pixel count is a specification, not a quality verdict.

Charging, software and everyday handling

The India specification sheet names the UNISOC T606 processor and gives the handset's weight as 190g. It lists USB Type-C, a 3.5mm earphone connection and a typical 5000mAh battery. Charging is specified at 18W, while the India overview identifies XOS 13 based on Android 13.

There is no verified current software-support deadline in the pages used here. A software version printed on a product page should therefore be read as the listed platform, rather than a promise about future upgrades or the version already installed on a particular unit.

For someone checking an existing Hot 40i, the useful exercise is to match the invoice, memory label and device identity before comparing a price. This report does not assign values to used phones, estimate remaining battery life or treat the manufacturer's promotional endurance claims as measured personal usage.

Keep the selected colour and memory combination attached to any saved price record, so a later comparison refers to the same listed product.

The India specification identifies the handset as model X6525 and gives dimensions of 163.60 x 75.60 x 8.5mm. Its touch-sampling rate is 180Hz. The sensor table lists a G-sensor, electronic compass, light sensor, proximity sensor and a gyroscope implemented through software.

The same sheet lists USB OTG support, FM radio and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. Camera modes include time-lapse, document capture, beauty, Super Night and AR Shot. The India overview separately names DTS sound processing, reverse charging and IP53 splash protection. Its rear-camera section lists Pro Camera Mode and Short Video Mode, alongside the portrait and Ultra HD tools.
