NEW DELHI: HMD 110 4G owners should unplug the handset when charging finishes and should not leave it continuously charging for more than 12 hours, according to HMD's battery safety guide. That ceiling is a safety instruction, not the time the phone needs for a full charge. The separate charging page does not promise a fixed full-charge duration.

Read the charging limit correctly

A maximum continuous connection time and a normal recharge time answer different questions. Leaving a phone connected until the maximum expires is not the procedure HMD describes. Its instruction is to disconnect after completion. The upper limit should therefore sit behind the everyday habit of checking the charging indication, rather than becoming a timer to follow at every recharge.

The charging page says to connect the charger to the wall and then to the device. Once finished, remove the connection from the handset before unplugging the adaptor from the socket. It also advises against repeatedly running the battery flat. A completely exhausted battery can take several minutes to show its charging indicator.

Check the regional charger instructions

HMD's online manual covers multiple markets. Its charger section gives EU instructions separately from the paragraph for other countries, which names the HAD-005 charger. Do not apply an EU box-content statement or power range automatically to an Indian sales pack. Check the printed guide and the actual supplied accessories for the unit in hand.

This distinction matters when a relative sends a screenshot of an overseas support page to help with an Indian purchase. An official page can still describe a different regional package. The keys-and-parts guide also says some accessories may be sold separately, so a generic manual is not a dependable inventory of every retail box.

USB charging is an alternative when a wall socket is unavailable, but HMD warns that power delivery and the delay before charging starts can vary. A computer connection is not a basis for quoting the same charging duration as a wall adaptor. If comparing two charging attempts, record the power source as well as the handset.

Put the standby claim in context

The India product page pairs a removable 1,450mAh battery with a 15-day standby claim. It also describes a 2.4-inch display, camera, FM radio, MP3 playback and a preloaded PhonePe UPI application. Those features explain why this is more than a calls-only handset, but their presence does not establish how long a charge lasts while they are being used.

For someone keeping the HMD 110 4G as a second number, standby endurance may be relevant. For someone regularly using its camera or audio features, the same headline is less informative. Keep a simple record of charging and usage before deciding that a shorter interval means a faulty battery. The official standby figure is not a personal service schedule.

The selected Titanium listing displays Rs 2,799. Price as of 4 November 2026, 00:07 IST. This guide addresses care of that model rather than a new price comparison; an existing owner should follow the instructions supplied with the handset even if the storefront amount changes.

Know when the battery needs attention

HMD says batteries eventually wear out, and noticeably reduced talk and standby times can be a reason to replace a removable battery. Use an original rechargeable battery. The safety guidance also says to stop using a battery or charger believed to be damaged until it has been checked by a service centre or dealer. It gives no annual replacement interval.

Temperature range and model identifiers

HMD's battery guide specifies 15 to 25 degrees Celsius as the range for optimal battery performance. It says a fully charged battery loses charge over time even while unused, and extreme temperatures reduce capacity and lifetime. The document also identifies accidental contact between metal objects and battery strips as a possible cause of short circuits.

The keys-and-parts guide covers models TA-1660, TA-1662, TA-1675 and TA-1665. Its numbered diagram distinguishes the USB connector from the headset connector and identifies a separate flashlight and camera. HMD's India product description adds a voice recorder, the Snake game and space for up to 2,000 contacts. It describes the back coating as nano-patterned ceramic.
