GURUGRAM: Voters with pending electoral-roll notices have more time to complete verification after a revised Haryana schedule announced on Friday, October 30, 2026, moved the disposal deadline to November 20 and final publication to November 30. The change affects households across Gurugram district, including Sector 56, Badshahpur, Sohna and Pataudi, where applications and notice hearings are being processed.
The final list had previously been scheduled for November 6. The new publication date is 24 days later. Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Uttam Singh has asked residents to check their own entries and those of eligible family members, and complete the necessary paperwork wherever an entry needs to be added, removed or corrected, according to local reports.
What the revised schedule changes
The extension concerns the notice phase and decisions on claims and objections under the Special Intensive Revision, or SIR. Haryana's official October 30 release on the revised schedule confirms that the disposal deadline has moved from October 28 to November 20. It also confirms November 30 as the date for the final electoral roll.
Those are two separate milestones. November 20 is the deadline for authorities to decide the pending matters covered by the revised programme. November 30 is when the resulting final list is due to be published. Residents answering an individual notice should check the instructions in that notice rather than treat the publication date as their document-submission date.
- Notice phase and disposal of claims and objections: November 20, 2026.
- Final electoral-roll publication: November 30, 2026.
- Previous final-publication date: November 6, 2026.
- Pending applications cited by the district: position as of October 28, 2026.
Why Gurugram needs the extra time
Local reports carrying the district election officer's account say decisions were still pending on 1,091 Form 6 applications, 565 Form 7 applications and 517 Form 8 applications as of October 28. Hearings on notices, photograph updates and associated decisions also remained unfinished. The figures describe the position on that date, rather than a live count of applications still awaiting decisions today.
The same reports say 453,079 voters had been issued notices seeking documents because their details could not be matched with the previous intensive-revision roll, or because discrepancies arose during matching. A notice seeking verification is a step in the decision process. It should not be read as a figure for completed deletions from the final roll.
The additional period is intended to let affected residents supply required documents and give electoral registration officers time to decide outstanding cases. The earlier local review and its former timetable are covered in our report on Gurugram's pending SIR hearings. The November dates are the new development.
Choose the form for the change you need
The Chief Electoral Officer's form guide identifies Form 6 for registering a new general voter, Form 7 for deletion or an objection, and Form 8 for shifting residence or correcting an existing entry. Form 8 also covers replacement of a voter identity card and marking an elector as a person with a disability.
Residents can check the available options on the official forms dashboard. A household checking several family members should establish which entry needs which action before selecting a form. The district's appeal is to check both names and particulars, so an existing entry with incorrect details also needs attention.
The Chief Electoral Officer's official website lists 1950 as the voter helpline for assistance with electoral services and related queries.
For separate local service information, readers can see our guides to Gurugram's grievance-camp follow-up process and November unemployment-allowance applications. Those are different administrative processes and their deadlines do not replace the revised electoral-roll timetable.
