GURUGRAM: Social security pension payments totalling Rs 36,89,24,000 were transferred to 112,355 beneficiaries in Gurugram district on Friday, November 6, 2026, ahead of the usual monthly timetable, the district administration said. It separately reported Rs 2,04,64,500 in Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi payments to 9,745 women. The district social welfare office is the local point for pension queries.
The announcement covers beneficiaries across Gurugram district. The state directorate lists the local welfare office at Vikas Sadan, opposite the Mini Secretariat, and gives 0124-2323809 for enquiries. Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh said the payments had been brought forward for Diwali. The release records a transfer to existing beneficiaries, rather than a fresh application deadline or a new increase in the pension rate.
What was transferred on November 6
The official district release, posted at 7.49 pm IST on November 6, says Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini initiated the transfers during a programme in Chandigarh. The district figures are Gurugram's share of the benefit payments described in that announcement. They should be read separately from any statewide total.
Singh said that payments under the social security pension schemes were previously credited by the tenth day of each month. This time, the funds were issued on November 6 so beneficiaries would have access before the festival. The pension total includes old age assistance, disability pensions and other social security pension categories, according to the administration.
- Social security pension beneficiaries in Gurugram: 112,355.
- Combined pension amount reported: Rs 36,89,24,000, or about Rs 36.89 crore.
- Lado Lakshmi beneficiaries reported separately: 9,745 women.
- Lado Lakshmi amount reported: Rs 2,04,64,500, or about Rs 2.05 crore.
- Release date for these transfers: November 6, 2026.
District Social Welfare Officer Sarfaraz Khan said the department regularly monitors beneficiary information, eligibility and bank account processes. The release does not give a category wise division of the pension total or identify individual accounts. It also does not give a breakdown of the Lado Lakshmi payment between different kinds of accounts. A household checking its own receipt therefore needs its account record rather than the district aggregate alone.
Read the payment rules alongside the total
The state directorate's updated Lado Lakshmi notification page links the governing document. The linked notification is dated January 8, 2026, and says the scheme operates from January 1, 2026. These are background rules for interpreting payments, not a new notification announced on November 6.
Under that document, the standard monthly benefit is Rs 2,100 for an eligible woman. New beneficiaries receive the full amount in their savings account in the first month. From the second month, the standard payment is split into Rs 1,100 in the savings account and Rs 1,000 in a government operated recurring or fixed deposit account. The accumulated deposit and interest are payable at maturity, with a tenure determined by the government that cannot exceed five years from implementation of the amended scheme.
The notification also provides different arrangements for beneficiaries choosing a smaller amount. This means the district's aggregate transfer figure should not be used to promise the same immediately withdrawable credit to every recipient. The November 6 release does not state which women are in their first month, which payment choices they made or how the savings and deposit components were handled in this particular transfer.
What to do about a missing payment
The state welfare directory lists that office contact, while the district social welfare office page identifies pension enrolment, disbursement and related queries as its public functions. For Lado Lakshmi specifically, the notification provides a grievance window in the scheme's official application platform. Complaints are routed to the District Social Welfare Officer, who can refer information issues to the Citizen Resources Information Department and platform issues to the responsible agency.
The document specifies seven working days for action by the district officer and an escalation process to the Additional Deputy Commissioner and then the Deputy Commissioner for unresolved grievances. It also says invalid bank details or failed payments are shared with the relevant departments and district officer. Beneficiaries can correct their bank details through the prescribed platform, with assistance restored after verification.
For Lado Lakshmi, the notification says payment is held if disbursement fails for two consecutive months. Resumption requires corrected bank information in the Parivar Pehchan Patra database to be passed through the prescribed verification process. The rules also require monthly liveness verification after the first disbursal. These checks are relevant to an individual payment enquiry, but the district release does not say that any particular beneficiary failed them.
Existing local reports on help accessing welfare schemes, Samadhan complaint follow-up and Chirayu contribution rules provide background on separate assistance channels. Friday's payment announcement does not change those schemes or their eligibility conditions.
