GURUGRAM: District officials reported more than 41 first information reports after two days of checks on illegal firecracker sales on Friday, November 6, 2026, with action covering Badshahpur, Pataudi Road, Manesar, Farrukhnagar and Sohna. The new enforcement figures follow the authorised sale arrangements as reported earlier on dalimss.news. The administration has now also given residents a district control room number for reporting violations.
The official update published at 7.44 pm IST on November 6 says several quintals of firecrackers were seized during the operation. It does not give an exact combined weight, a breakdown of cases by subdivision or the number of people arrested. The figure therefore describes registered cases, rather than convictions or a count of traders found guilty.
What the inspections covered
Subdivisional magistrates carried out special drives in their respective areas over the preceding two days. The administration identifies two grounds for action: selling products outside the permitted green firecracker category, and selling from locations other than the designated sites. That distinction matters because a product being described as green does not itself authorise its sale from any premises.
Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh said magistrates had been instructed to keep watch and take action under the applicable rules. The release names Badshahpur and the city's Pataudi Road area alongside Manesar, Farrukhnagar and Sohna as places where inspections were conducted. It does not identify individual establishments, and residents should not treat the district total as a finding against any particular shop.
The November 6 statement also reports notices to institutions and other units for failing to follow work from home directions issued under the air quality framework. It gives neither the number of notices nor the names of their recipients. The attendance arrangements were described earlier in the district's November 5 to 20 office order report. Friday's update adds enforcement information without announcing a replacement attendance schedule.
The enforcement statement also covers prohibited storage and use. It does not publish a list of seized products or case numbers. Its district total cannot establish the type or quantity recovered at each individual location.
Sale permission has a separate deadline
The administration's November 5 release allowed licensed traders to sell approved green firecrackers only through November 6. It listed 23 locations across the district. Within municipal Gurugram these included the ground near Vatika Chowk in Badshahpur, the Sector 9 open ground, Babupur village stadium, the Sector 5 HSVP ground, the Gaushala ground near Mahavir Chowk and Leisure Valley ground in Sector 29.
Those locations were designated sale points for that limited period. The earlier release does not extend sales into November 7 or November 8. It separately allows use of approved green firecrackers on those two dates during specified hours. Residents planning a celebration should keep the sale deadline distinct from the permitted times for use.
- Sales by licensed traders at designated locations: permitted through November 6 only.
- Permitted use on November 7 and November 8: 6 am to 7 am and 8 pm to 10 pm IST, according to the district release.
- Full prohibition on manufacture, storage, sale and use: returns on November 9.
- Reporting channels in the new enforcement release: 112 and district control room 92897 90948.
The November 5 instructions require approval by CSIR NEERI and products from manufacturers licensed by the Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation. Boxes must be sealed and carry a specific QR code for the product and batch. The administration says violations can lead to seizure, cancellation of licences and action under the relevant legal provisions. These are the stated possible consequences, rather than outcomes established for every case reported on Friday.
In the Manesar municipal area, the temporary sale locations were opposite the tehsil in Sector 2, IMT Manesar, and near the power house in Garhi Harsaru. Rural and municipal permissions were listed separately in the earlier announcement.
How residents can report a violation
Additional Deputy Commissioner Sonu Bhatt asked residents to give the correct address and describe the activity when reporting suspected unlawful sale, storage or other breaches. Photographs or video may be shared where possible so that a team can identify the location. The district control room number in the release is 92897 90948; the other reporting channel listed is 112.
The earlier district rules also prohibit bursting within 300 metres of hospitals, nursing homes, primary and district health centres, old age homes and notified silence zones. The same restriction applies to educational institutions. A permitted time window therefore does not remove the location restrictions. The district's earlier police monitoring arrangements provide further background, while the November 6 release supplies the latest verified case total.
