You can order an Aadhaar PVC card through UIDAI's official myAadhaar service by following the ordering steps and paying the applicable charge. UIDAI's current FAQ lists Rs 75, including GST and Speed Post charges. The card reproduces the details in your Aadhaar record, so complete any necessary correction before ordering. Keep the payment receipt and Service Request Number, then use the postal tracking number when the consignment is dispatched.

What is an Aadhaar PVC card?

The PVC card is a compact, durable physical version of Aadhaar. The official Aadhaar Online Services FAQ describes security features including a protected QR code, micro text, ghost image, issue and print dates, guilloche pattern and embossed Aadhaar logo. These features belong to the official card service. A separate commercial printing service should not be confused with ordering the card from UIDAI.

UIDAI says the Aadhaar letter, PVC card and e-Aadhaar are equally valid and acceptable forms. Buying the PVC version therefore changes the format you carry, rather than granting an additional identity entitlement. Someone who already has another valid form does not need to assume that its validity depends on paying for a PVC card. Choose the format suited to your needs after reading the official service information.

How much does an Aadhaar PVC card cost?

The FAQ checked on 6 November 2026, IST, lists Rs 75 inclusive of GST and Speed Post. The current My Aadhaar service listing also shows a Rs 75 fee for ordering the PVC card. Older instructions may display a different amount. Check the official payment screen when placing the request and keep the receipt showing the charge actually paid.

This charge is for the card service described by UIDAI. Updating an address or another Aadhaar detail is a separate process, even if you intend to order a fresh card afterwards. Do not assume a card payment includes a correction or that a completed correction automatically places a new PVC order. Identify which request you are making before paying and retain the reference for that particular service.

How to order an Aadhaar PVC card online

Begin at the official UIDAI website and follow its Order PVC Card or myAadhaar service link. The current FAQ describes a registered-number route in which the Aadhaar holder signs in using the Aadhaar number and follows the onscreen process. It also says a holder with a registered number can order cards for self or others. Use the current official interface rather than an old set of screenshots.

Read the displayed information and complete the required verification before making payment. UIDAI lists several payment modes, including cards, net banking and UPI. Availability can depend on the live checkout. After successful payment, the FAQ says a receipt is generated with the SRN and transaction details, and the SRN is also shared by SMS. Save that receipt before closing the page.

Can I change the details while ordering?

UIDAI says people who want different details printed must first update their Aadhaar record through the appropriate online service or enrolment centre. Only after the update succeeds should they request the PVC card. The order is a printing and delivery request using the Aadhaar information, rather than an opportunity to enter a new address or corrected name solely for that card.

Check the updated record before placing the order. If an address correction is still pending, paying for a card does not establish that the new address has been accepted. Likewise, a successful payment does not confirm the outcome of a separate demographic update. Keep the update acknowledgement and the PVC order receipt as separate records, since they answer different status questions.

How to check PVC card delivery status

Follow the PVC order status service linked from UIDAI and use the request details it asks for. Once the postal consignment reference is available, use India Post tracking for the delivery journey. UIDAI calls this reference the consignment number or Airway Bill Number. The SRN relates to the service request, while the AWB identifies the postal shipment. They should not be treated as interchangeable numbers.

The FAQ says delivery normally takes place within 10 working days, excluding the request day, through Speed Post to the address registered with UIDAI. That is the normal period stated in the FAQ, not a guaranteed arrival date for every address. Consult the live order status, dispatch information and postal tracking if a particular request is taking longer. Preserve the references when seeking assistance.

Where to get help with an Aadhaar PVC request

UIDAI lists the assistance number 1947 and a grievance option on its official website. Explain whether the issue concerns payment, request processing, printed details or postal delivery, and have the relevant receipt available. The source pages reviewed do not set a universal last date for ordering this optional card. This guide reports the current service information and does not announce a new mandatory replacement exercise.

For connected processes, read our guides to checking an Aadhaar update request, downloading an e-EPIC and e-Shram registration. Each has its own purpose and reference numbers. Before ordering, confirm the details and charge through UIDAI's live service.
