Keep your EPIC number, or the application reference where accepted, and access to the mobile number registered with your electoral record ready for verification.

The Chief Electoral Officer, Delhi website links electors to the current ECI portal for online applications and tracking. The download is a service for obtaining the electronic document. If your underlying record needs correction, downloading it again will reproduce the existing details rather than change them.
How to download voter ID as an e-EPIC PDF
Start at the official Citizen Service Portal. Open its E-EPIC Download service, then follow the account and verification instructions shown there. Enter the requested EPIC or reference details carefully. Check the voter details returned before proceeding to verification and saving the PDF.
The official e-EPIC FAQ hosted by CEO Delhi describes the process as entering an EPIC number or Form Reference Number, verifying an OTP sent to the registered mobile number and then downloading the card. That document dates from 2021 and contains older portal addresses. Use the current ECI link above for the service, while following the instructions actually displayed.
After downloading, open the file and check that the name, photograph and other details belong to you. Keep the PDF somewhere you can find it again. The official FAQ says an e-EPIC can be printed and used as identity proof at a polling station. Checking your electoral roll entry remains a separate task, especially if your address has changed.
What if you have lost your EPIC number?
Losing the physical card does not necessarily mean losing access to the electoral record. The official FAQ directs electors to search their name in the electoral roll, note the EPIC number and then use the download service. The CEO Delhi home page includes a link to check your name in the electoral roll, so it provides a route back to the official search.
Read the returned details before copying a number. A similar name alone is insufficient to identify the right record. If you recently applied, keep the acknowledgement reference as well. A pending application reference and an issued EPIC number serve different purposes, even when the portal accepts either as a search input.
Can you download voter ID without an OTP?
The ECI service's published instructions require verification through the registered mobile number. If you cannot receive that OTP, first establish whether the number associated with your record is one you still use. An online search promising a download without verification does not replace the official procedure.
For an incorrect mobile entry, the current official Form 8 includes Mobile Number among the particulars that can be corrected. The older e-EPIC FAQ also directs people with unsuccessful identity verification to the Electoral Registration Officer's office with photo identification. Ask the ERO or your Booth Level Officer which correction and verification route applies to your record.
When do you need Form 8 instead of another download?
The ECI's Form 8 covers shifting of residence, correction of existing electoral roll entries, replacement EPIC and marking a person with disability. Select the purpose that matches your problem. A replacement request is different from correcting a wrong name or moving an electoral entry to a new address.
For a correction, the form asks for self attested documentary proof supporting the claim. For shifting, it lists address proof options, including Aadhaar, an Indian passport, a current bank or post office passbook, and specified property or tenancy documents. Read the conditions against the selected document rather than treating this short list as the entire form.
The replacement section distinguishes a lost, destroyed or mutilated card. It asks for the old or mutilated card to be returned, or a copy of the FIR or police report for a lost EPIC. Check the relevant section before submitting. Save the acknowledgement so that a later status enquiry can refer to the correct application.
How to check voter ID application status
Use Track Application Status on the official ECI portal, reached through the election authority's website. Keep the reference from the submitted form and compare the result with the request you actually made. A successful PDF download is not evidence that a separate correction application has been approved.
For unresolved problems, contact the election helpline on 1950 or the ERO or BLO responsible for your area. Keep a concise description of the issue and your application reference ready. The public pages checked on 30 October 2026 do not establish a universal delivery period for every correction or card request, so a fixed completion date should not be assumed.
