NEW DELHI: Hyundai lists vehicle-to-load, or V2L, on six Creta Electric trims in its current India feature table. The feature can supply electricity to appliances inside and outside the vehicle, but the company's brochure says the external V2L adapter is a separately paid accessory. A photograph of a Creta Electric powering a campsite therefore does not establish that the required adapter comes with every car.

The battery badge does not settle equipment
The useful distinction is between battery capacity and appliance-power equipment. Both battery groups contain cars with V2L and cars without it. Moving into the larger-battery group alone does not establish that this facility is included. Someone reading only an LR badge could miss that distinction.
That makes this a particularly relevant handover question for a household planning to use the car beyond commuting. If powering equipment during an outdoor stop is part of that plan, the order needs to identify the precise trim and the external accessory. A general statement that the Creta Electric offers V2L answers neither question completely.
What Hyundai's outdoor demonstration establishes
Hyundai presents V2L as an outdoor convenience on its India convenience page. Its official photograph shows a Creta Electric at a campsite, with a connection at the front of the vehicle. The illustration explains the intended setting for the feature: electricity available alongside a parked car when the activity takes place away from an ordinary socket.
The brochure makes a separate and important statement about the hardware. The external V2L gun is available on a payable basis. That wording should be carried through into an accessory quotation rather than treated as an incidental detail in a brochure footnote. The material reviewed does not give a verified accessory price, so no amount is quoted here.
For a family assembling a weekend travel kit, this changes how to read the demonstration. The photograph is evidence of an advertised use, while the equipment table and accessory condition establish what must be checked for an actual vehicle. Those documents perform different jobs, and all are needed before assuming that a showroom car can reproduce the photographed setup.
Keep the convenience features separate
The Creta Electric's cabin presentation includes digital displays and a floating console. Hyundai also discusses smartphone access, connected functions and in-car charging payments on its convenience page. These are distinct facilities, even though they appear together in the same model's promotional material.
In practice, a useful demonstration should identify each function by name. Ask to see the appliance-power connection separately from a phone charging point or a charging-payment screen. A demonstration of one feature cannot establish the presence of another. This is especially useful when photographs show several cabin conveniences at once.
There is also a distinction between an equipment check and an operating instruction. The feature table tells readers where V2L is listed; it does not provide a complete appliance compatibility guide. This report does not infer an output rating, an appliance runtime or a minimum battery reserve from a photograph or from battery capacity.
For an owner comparing a quotation with the display vehicle, a photograph of the accessory and its description on the invoice can also help distinguish what was demonstrated from what was actually included in the order.
Put the accessory in the handover record
A practical handover record would identify the vehicle trim, whether the external adapter was ordered, and whether it was delivered. If an adapter is being supplied later, that should be recorded separately from the car's installed equipment. This is an editorial recommendation for keeping the paperwork clear, rather than an additional Hyundai warranty condition.
For a household that expects to use V2L only occasionally, the most useful check is a demonstration of the actual supplied equipment using the vehicle's instructions. For someone who has no appliance-power requirement, the feature need not become a proxy for the rest of the car's comfort equipment. Each household can establish whether this particular convenience has a role in its travel routine.
Readers can consult our separate reports on Creta Electric charging, its safety equipment and vehicle and battery warranty terms for the other ownership questions. Those subjects should be checked independently of the external power accessory.
