NEW DELHI: Citroen lists C3 maintenance packages from Rs 14,211 for the naturally aspirated engine's three-year plan to Rs 36,734 for the turbo engine's five-year plan. The official FlexCare table groups turbo manual and automatic cars together, while keeping the naturally aspirated petrol separate. These are maintenance package prices, not the purchase price of the car. Price as of 6 November 2026, 00:18 IST.

The engine matters more than the trim badge

A C3 service quotation needs the powertrain written out. Citroen's price sheet does not set separate maintenance rates for every equipment grade. Instead, it divides the car into naturally aspirated and turbo categories. That makes the engine field on the invoice more useful than a casual reference to a top or entry variant when checking the package being offered.

The distinction has a mechanical basis in the range. Citroen lists the naturally aspirated PureTech 82 with a five-speed manual gearbox. The PureTech 110 turbo is offered with a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic. The official engine figures are 82 PS and 115 Nm for the naturally aspirated unit, against 110 PS for the turbo. Turbo torque is listed at 190 Nm with the manual and 205 Nm with the automatic.

An automatic C3 therefore belongs in the turbo column of this service table. A manual C3 needs a closer check because the gearbox description alone does not identify which engine it has. Matching the invoice, vehicle identification details and package description is a practical way to avoid paying for a plan that has been described too loosely.

What the maintenance package promises

Citroen's FlexCare description includes the parts, oil and labour required by the periodic maintenance schedule, together with an annual interior enrichment treatment. It says Maintenance Care works across authorised Citroen workshops and can transfer with vehicle ownership. The enrolment wording is purchase or within one year, before the first service. An owner considering later enrolment should have eligibility checked against that wording.

Those inclusions make this a way of paying for specified scheduled work. The page separately describes extended warranty, which concerns qualifying repairs, and roadside assistance, which concerns help when a journey is interrupted. A service package quotation should identify which of those products is actually included. A heading such as ownership protection is too broad to settle that question.

For the C3, that distinction is especially useful because a turbo automatic and a naturally aspirated manual can look similar in a showroom while sitting in different maintenance columns. The table gives a clear comparison of the scheduled-service package, but it cannot by itself establish the total amount either car will cost to run. Fuel, insurance and work outside the agreed schedule need separate treatment.

Read the mileage alongside the years

Every listed duration is paired with a mileage figure. A five-year entry accompanied by 50,000 km should not be read as an unlimited-mileage promise. Before accepting it, an owner needs the contract to explain how the time and distance limits operate, which scheduled visits fall within the package and what happens if the car reaches the stated distance early.

It also helps to ask for an itemised comparison with the car's actual service schedule. That turns a broad promise of prepaid maintenance into a list of work that can be checked at each visit. The useful document is the schedule attached to the correct C3 engine, rather than an example bill for another petrol car or an estimate based only on the vehicle's age.

Citroen's current C3 brochure illustrates why equipment descriptions also deserve care. It identifies the 360-degree camera as a mandatory dealer accessory at additional cost. That does not make the camera a maintenance-plan inclusion. The purchase invoice, accessory paperwork and service contract answer different questions and should be retained together if the owner later needs to establish what was supplied.

Keep a record that follows the car

Save the plan certificate, payment receipt and service invoices with the vehicle records. When work is booked, the job card should distinguish package-covered tasks from additional work requiring approval. That gives the owner a usable record of both the prepaid entitlement and any separate expenditure, particularly if the car changes workshops during the plan period.
