A compact layout with a substantial body
The Jelly75's compact description refers to its key layout, not to a featherweight travel design. ASUS lists dimensions of 326.2 x 142.1 x 39.5mm. Together with the stated weight, that makes it a different proposition from a thin keyboard carried alongside a tablet.
For a home desk, the layout offers a way to keep the mouse closer without using a full-width keyboard. Someone who enters long columns of figures should examine the layout itself before assuming that a smaller board preserves every familiar key position. The percentage label cannot answer that practical question.
The switches and mounting have separate jobs
ASUS specifies linear mechanical switches with 4.0mm travel. Its hot-swap design allows switches to be replaced without soldering. That can matter when changing the feel of a keyboard or replacing an individual switch, but it does not make every switch sold separately automatically compatible.
The gasket mounting serves a different purpose. ASUS describes a structure that cushions the typing assembly and dampens vibration. That is a design feature rather than a measured promise that every desk, room and typist will produce the same sound.
For a shared room used for both work and late gaming, these details deserve more attention than the colour alone. Switch feel, desk vibration and the position of the keyboard all affect the experience. This report does not assign a noise score or a comfort rating without testing the hardware.
Wireless modes do not share one speed figure
The specifications distinguish the reporting rates of the three connections. The wired maximum is higher than the RF setting, while Bluetooth has its own lower figure. It would therefore be misleading to attach the highest advertised polling rate to every way of using the Jelly75.
ASUS says the Fn + T shortcut raises the wired and RF polling settings. This is a useful detail for a keyboard that may serve a work laptop during the day and a gaming PC later. Moving between those systems can also mean moving between connection modes with different settings.
The product supports Windows and macOS layouts through dedicated system switching. Its multi-device capability is about selecting the intended host; it should not be read as a promise that a single keystroke is broadcast to every paired computer.
Read the battery condition before the headline number
ASUS advertises up to 8,500 hours of battery life with the backlight off. That condition belongs beside the figure. It is not a runtime claim for a brightly illuminated keyboard, and ASUS says actual endurance varies with usage, settings and the environment.
The illumination is white rather than a claim of individually addressable multicolour lighting. USB-C recharging is another practical distinction from a board that runs solely on replaceable cells. The specification lists a charging cable and a wireless dongle among the package contents.
The Jelly75's India launch combines features that are often discussed separately: a compact mechanical layout, switch replacement and several connection choices. Evaluating those features individually gives a clearer picture than treating the keyboard as simply a coloured gaming accessory.
