NEW DELHI: Aprilia SXR GT 125 hp-e and SXR GT 175 hp-e both have a 5-inch instrument display, but the official model pages describe different equipment. The 125 uses an LCD, while the 175 gets a TFT with Bluetooth, call and music management, and turn-by-turn navigation. Screen size alone does not identify the connected version.

The range page needs a variant check

Aprilia's general SXR GT page talks about connectivity, music and navigation across the family. The dedicated pages are more specific: the smaller scooter's display section describes riding information on an LCD, while the larger scooter's section expressly names the connected functions.

The wording matters. An umbrella description can introduce a range without establishing that every feature belongs to every engine version. For this reason, the table records where connectivity is explicitly confirmed and leaves the smaller model's unsupported functions unclaimed. It does not convert missing detail into a definitive statement that hardware is absent.

This is a useful distinction for anyone already familiar with the SXR name. A promotional photograph of a large screen, or the phrase smart technology, cannot establish which interface is fitted to a specific scooter. The full SXR GT model designation needs to remain attached to the equipment description.

What a connected display description establishes

The 175's page confirms that calls, music and navigation form part of its stated connected feature set. It does not, in that description, publish a complete list of compatible phones, supported software versions or instructions for every handset. Those additional details should not be assumed from the presence of Bluetooth.

A useful demonstration would separate the scooter's own riding information from functions brought in through a phone. That would make it easier to understand what remains visible without a phone connection, and what depends on successful pairing. This is a practical way to examine the interface, rather than a claim about an undocumented operating mode.

Similarly, a navigation feature is not evidence that the screen contains independent satellite navigation hardware or that mapping can work without a phone. The official feature description supports the named turn-by-turn function. It does not support adding those further capabilities to the specification.

The chassis comparison adds another distinction

Both dedicated pages highlight 14-inch wheels and a Tripod LED headlamp. Each also describes a spacious footboard, underseat and front storage, and five-position adjustable rear suspension. These shared descriptions explain the common GT presentation without establishing identical equipment throughout.

Braking is one confirmed difference beyond the dashboard. Aprilia lists CBS for the SXR GT 125 hp-e and a 220 mm front disc with ABS for the SXR GT 175 hp-e. A shared wheel size therefore should not be used as shorthand for a matching braking configuration.

The published storage descriptions do not provide a verified litre capacity in those feature sections. No volume has been assigned here, and no promise has been made that a particular full-face helmet will fit. Actual object shape and the compartment opening would need checking separately.

Keep the equipment record specific

Our Scooter and bike price guide concerns a different manufacturer's connected system. Its connection limit should not be imported into the SXR GT's feature list. Similar names for phone functions do not make their operating rules interchangeable.

The Yamaha Aerox 155 Y-Connect setup: 1 phone connects at a time and Suzuki Burgman Street price list: Rs 1,04,044 to Rs 1,14,820 ex-showroom Delhi provide other scooter references. For the SXR GT, the documented distinction remains unusually clear: equal display diagonals, different display descriptions, with connected functions explicitly detailed for the larger version.
